Hello everyone! My name is Jim and here is my abbreviated introduction.
Until approximately 4 months ago, I had never heard of CC music. In the short time since, I have learned more about CC music than I thought I would ever learn in a lifetime. There a couple of factors which are responsible for bringing me to this forum. One of the factors was another CC artist who first exposed me to CC music approximately 4 months ago. The other factor was one of the Hayley Westernra Forum Members who first introduced provided me to Hayley and provided me with some YouTube clips of Hayley’s performances. I was hooked instantly! So much so that I went out 2 days ago and purchased two (2) Hayley Westernra CDs: ‘Pure’ and ‘Odyssey’. Me, of all people, bought Hayley's CDs. Not only did I buy the CDs, but I fell in love with the music instantly! How could I not?!
BTW, is her singing supposed to be this addictive? She is absolutely amazing, and she has an incredible voice that is almost beyond comprehension! I have yet to come down from this musical “high” after listening to these CDs.
Jim

Hello Jim, nice to see you here. Hayley was my introduction to Classical Crossover music. I guess you have already seen where that got me, from Nicola's forum. John H

Hello Jim. Greetings from Kansas and welcome to the forum. I can confirm that Hayley's music is addictive. For me, all it took was part of a single song (Dark Waltz) and I was hooked.
I hope you enjoy your time here.

Hi Jim, and welcome to HWI.
Well, I've been an addict for nearly seven years now, after first hearing her voice at a live performance, she had me hooked within 10 seconds! She sounds even better live than on record.
There is lots of information about Hayley here, and links to lots more video clips for you to enjoy.
Try looking at some of the concert threads, which are full of reports and reviews, photos and videos from her live shows.
Pure and Odyssey are a few years old now, you could also look out for Celtic Treasure, Winter Magic and River of Dreams CDs which are more recent. There is also the Celtic Woman "A New Journey" CD and "Live at Slane Castle" DVD, which feature Hayley who was a member of the band at the time.
We are all looking forward to her new album which we expect to be released early this year.

Martin D Martin, Thank you for the warm welcome and for pointing me in the right direction in regards to where I can go to get additional information about Hayley. I wanted to make sure I purchased some of her early work (CDs) so that I can appreciate the (her) musical journey. My next goal is to purchase some of her more recent work. I will continue to follow the concert thread, but I am hoping that she will make a concert run through the U.S. sometime in the near future. Otherwise I will be traveling to wherever I need to in order to be able to listen to her "live". Thanks, Jim
