Hmm, well, I tend to agree with Steve and the others. Today Hayley performed in front of 15,000 people in Taiwan. I would love to have been there. But I've run out of holiday, and have work and church commitments, quite apart from the expense and distance. So I didn't go.
So, do I want to hear about it. see pictures and reports. You bet I do! Today my body was in Rugby, my mind on Bristol Airport, but my heart was in Kaoshiung.
And when I do see Hayley perform, and I make no apology for saying I would see her even more often than I do if I could, I do my best to share my joy with those who are not so fortunate. I do this not to "rub noses in it", but to help keep those not there in touch with what Hayley is doing and perhaps to help win her new fans.
If that makes me a "groupie" fair enough! But my motivation is enirely about sharing with others who weren't there (and those who were, who might be reminded of a beaufiful experience) and helping spread the word about Hayley. It is certainly not about trying to make anyone feel excluded, it is very much the opposite. And I know that many people here enjoy reading what I and the others write, and we have had many encouraging comments.
All I can suggest is that if reading concert reports makes you feel left out, just avoid those threads.
Right now I can wait to read all about Kaoshiung!

Even though I've never been to a Hayley concert, I think I can imagine how you'd long to see her again. However, at least you have wonderful memories, photos, etc. that I and others don't have, and may never have. I don't think it's that you are more sad than us, I just think the emotion is different. Our sadness, of never seeing her, is more of a despondence, a resignation that we may never see her; an envy of those who get to see her many times, and of even those who've only seen her once. We're used to not seeing her, though, so often it may not even enter our minds. We don't fully know what we're missing out on, despite the wonderful reviews. Your "sadness" is a longing to yet again experience the excitement and delight of seeing Hayley, hearing her sing live and perhaps even meeting her. Personally, I'd prefer your "problem". I would much rather have the memories, rather than absolutely nothing. Believe me, you guys have it better. So, even though we're both sad, it's a different sadness. And I think we are more to be pitied than you who have seen her, if I may say so. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifMore than 160 people registered today on the CLOSED old blue Official Forum... Hi Libby,
Yes, I think I can begin to understand that. I have never experienced it though, since my first ever experience of Hayley was at a live concert. I have no idea what it is like to read of others having that beautiful experience without having been there myself. But how would I feel if I had never seen Hayley live? That is a good question, and to be honest, I am not sure I would be the huge fan I am now if that were the case. Much as I love her records, would I have been able to sustain a sufficient level of enthusiasm from that alone? I don't suppose I can ever know the answer. So for me, I can read concert reports and say to myself, "yes, that is the Hayley I know, she is still as fabulous as ever" and relate it to my own experience. And rejoice in the pleasure of those that were there. As for people like you Libby, who maintain a huge love and enthusiasm for Hayley whom you have never heard perform of met, I have to hand it to you. It must be a sort of faith. It is based on what others have told you and her records, not on actual experience. You absolutely deserve to hear her live, but even more, you will discover that once is never enough. No number of times is ever enough, you will still come back for more. I think that knowing that you may never hear Hayley again would be intolerable. There are some people that I see at every concert I ever go to. I envy them, I could never keep that up, or devote enough time or energy to it. I'm going to ask you all a question now, at the risk of upsetting those who are upset by such things. How many times do you think I have seen Hayley live? It may be less than you think.

I've decided on my punishment for starting this post. I will wear a horsehair shirt for a week. After that I will flagellate my back with a barbed whip for another week.

Larry Och Larry, don't be so hard on yerself, I know you put up huge mileage just to see Hayley (more than most members here) and will do it all over again as soon as the opportunity arises. Be kind to yourself, I suspect you may be right about a USA trip in the next year or so, fingers crossed for you. Maybe Hayley will pass through Ireland on the way and do a concert in Limerick again on the way to Shannon Airport.

"Libby for some reason I think Hayley will visit the U S next year. Don't know why but i just have a feeling. We'll meet and do a high five. Larryx " Larry, I'm holding you to that, so don't forget! I hope you're right. Remember not too long ago, someone on twitter asked her when she'd come to California, and she replied, "Hopefully next year!" So there seems to be a chance she'll come. But who knows, that could just be another appearance on the Hour of Power. Hopefully it'll be more than that, though.

Larry, I have a better and much more constructive punishment... xD How about getting all your Hayley CDs and listening to them thrice in a row (well, if you are Grant and have 150 CDs, then twice should be enough, LOL(..

hi all; my 2 cents worth....
larry, its a feeling we all get. im from her homeland and i get to see her less than everybody. its ironic.
one can only go so far though before the tradeoff between work-leave, cost and the time it takes to get to where she is, becomes too much for attendance. ive assessed the options and the farthest i would go for her concerts is probably australia.. its 2.5hrs and i'd need leave for both days; america i would only goto if it was in the context of a longer holiday there; for which i would have to leave my current job as i only get 20 days leave and need that to travel and see my family
libby... waiting for her to come back is a little frustrating actually; i believe thats partly jealousy though cos everyone else has concerts and I dont. ironically, i once missed a concert in hamilton. i had been unemployed for 2 years and was running out of money a little too literally; fortunately things have changed.
if hayleys people are taking requests.. alice springs and adelaide please ive always wanted an excuse to got there

Moved back from the new thread: Anyway, spiderman, I wouldn't say that NZ sees less of Hayley than the U.S. does. Maybe about the same, if you count the Celtic woman tour as the U.S. "seeing Hayley" (I would call that "seeing Hayley with Celtic Woman"). But it's been longer since Hayley has performed here than it's been since she's done so in NZ. And I would think you'd have a better chance, considering that's where she's from. But yes, you guys definitely need a turn, too. She can do NZ, then the U.S. on her way back to London. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif
