One of my favourite artists in Classical Crossover is incredibly obscure, and because she's exclusively a Japanese artist, it's unlikely she'll ever be known in the West, despite her contract with Sony. But I think that's tragic. She's SUPERB. She sings mostly in English, and most of her material is Western anyway. She does write a lot of her songs though. I just finished an album review for her on my website - you need not read through the verbose review, but would like you to listen to the video at the bottom of the page and let me know what you think? It's her own work. www.classical-crossover.co.uk/albreviews/283-kanon-precious.html

Nicola, you already know what I think of Kanon, but I will add my bit for the benefit of those who might not be so familiar with your website. Of all the fantastic artists (and there are many! ) that I have discovered through Nicola’s Classical Crossover site, I would have to rate Kanon among my top three favourites. Paradoxically, her voice is exciting yet relaxing at the same time. She brings a fresh approach to some familiar music, with wonderful variations on classical themes and some beautiful compositions of her own. Sadly, Kanon’s albums are rather expensive to import (comparable with Hayley’s ‘Prayer’) but, to me, they are worth every penny. ‘Primary Flowers’ is my favourite, but all Kanon’s albums are worth getting. If you have a yen (or a few thousand of them i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif) for something different, I think most people that love Hayley’s voice will also like Kanon. John

Hi Nicola. I have to say also that at the beginning of the song she sounded a bit like Enya to me as well, then as she got into it that changed even though I do like Enya, but she sounds really good doesn't she, I wouldn't mind a couple of her CD.s as well. Do you know if they are recorded in region O; and where is a good place to order them from. much love Tracy.
