Did anyone see Hayley on this ITV3 programme last night? She reminisced over her 2003 appearance and the "behind the scenes" amusing stories together with a brief showing of her performing Amazing Grace in which her voice was almost swamped by the loudness of the pipe band! She also said how in awe she was meeting all the other celebrities. It was great to see Hayley give this relaxed and amusing anecdote. Martin

Hi Martin
I am surprised that nobody replied to your post, however that programme was repeated this last week-end on ITV 3. I had forgotten Hayley was featured , I had a suspicion she might be on, then before the last adverts there was a "taster" of the acts to follow and there was Hayley! That Royal Variety Performance was 3 years ago, how time flies! I think that was the first time I saw her performing on TV, was this before or after The Frank Skinner show ? I am sure somebody will enlighten me.
Tony

Hi Tont, Unfortunately, I cannot receive ITV3 but that doesn't stop me from answering your other question! Hayley's appearance on the Royal Variety Performance was on 26th November 2003 and she guested on the Frank Skinner Show on 8th December 2003. I remember them well! Roger

Hi Martin and Tony, If you (or anyone) notices that this show will be repeated in the future, please do post loudly about it in advance as I'd love to record Hayley's performance in DVD quality for posterity. I'm a bit annoyed with myself for missing this particular broadcast. Cheers, Dave

Thanks Rodders and Belinda, I'm pretty sure I have Christmas Mania and I think it's on HWI (or should be) if not certainly there's been a link in the forum. Hopefully I can get the Christmas Service thing for AA but what I'm definitely missing personally is Hayley's 2003 Royal Variety Performance (I think it's up at HWI though not in DVD quality, which I'm looking to record - technology moves on! ) Cheers, Dave

Perhaps the original is on the main board somewhere I have yet to discover (yet to look for that matter!), but if not, did anyone record this extract? Peter S.

Belated this may be but finally, following an emergency phone call last week from Roger, literally two minutes after I got home, I managed to grab this! As I said to Roger just before crashing my video devices into emergency record mode, "phew, that was lucky!" It certainly was! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAnyway, enough rabbiting on from me... here is the segment involving Hayley and it's in fairly good quality I think. I'll stick it up on HWI in a few days time. Hayley on Best of Royal Variety Performance Cheers, Dave

Yes, indeed, we were lucky to get that clip. I watch very little television but I was flipping idly through the channels one evening. As I came to ITV3, "The Best of the Royal Variety Performance" was about to go into a commercial break. Before it did so, there were brief clips of what was coming up in the next section, and it included Hayley! I immediately phoned Dave - it was one of our shorter calls and I remember saying "This has to be like lightening - record ITV3 NOW"! With that, we both put the phone down!
I don't know where the interview section was recorded but it looks as though it might be the London Palladium.
