HI,
I found yesterday on Cd Japan, searching for Hayley westenra, a new cd release by Japanese artist Junichi Inagaki Cd Otoko To Onna, /Two Hearts ,Two Voices. Release 29 september 2010.
Looking on the Universal Japan website, it says that track 12 song/ Olivia wo Kikanagara, is a duet with Hayley Westenra.
Maybe one of our Japanese members could give more details or translations.

Hi,
Just got a message from a japanese Facebook friend, and he confirmed, that Hayley sings a duet with Junichi Inagaki on his new album !!!
(maybe this explains a tweet by Hayley, somewhere in july/august, that she was practising japanese lyrics)

HI, I found yesterday on Cd Japan, searching for Hayley westenra, a new cd release by Japanese artist Junichi Inagaki Cd Otoko To Onna, /Two Hearts ,Two Voices. Release 29 september 2010. Looking on the Universal Japan website, it says that track 12 song/ Olivia wo Kikanagara, is a duet with Hayley Westenra. Maybe one of our Japanese members could give more details or translations. Greetz JOYCE Hi JOYCE. The English translation of the CD title is "A man and A woman 3 / Two Hearts, Two Voices." Junichi Inagaki sings 12 songs with 12 divas. Hayley is chosen as one of them singing "Listening to Olivia" with him. She is the only non Japanese singer among them. This song "Listening to Olivia" was one of the greatest hits in 1978 in Japan sung by a young woman at that time named Anri. I found her video on Youtube here singing the song. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jq6cWEqcyTQI just have searched the WEB to get more information but I could not find any more detail regarding the duet. Junichi Inagaki is a famous and popular mid aged male singer here in Japan. Searching the WEB I found a Junichi's fan was writing about the CD and that person was wondering who Hayley was. Hope this helps. Maya

I like the original version as well. I'd love to hear Hayley sing this song. But I don't really want to buy the CD. Not that it would be a waste, but I have a little personal rule if it comes to buying CDs...https://i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Anyway, when this song is on Youtube, or if/when there are samples available, I'd like to hear it. Thanks for the share Joyce, and you too Maya for translation Sharon*

Yes, I agree with Sharon. I'd love to hear the song, but I'm not sure about buying the whole thing just for 1 song, especially when Hayley is not even singing the whole song by herself. I think I'll wait to see if anyone puts it on youtube, because her Japanese songs always seem to make it there eventually.

It is on YouTube. I won't post the link, because that would be a copyright infringement, but you can search for this: Hayley Westenra - Junichi Inagaki - Oribia wo kiki nagara It's on littlefurze's channel.

This song is amazing, オリビアを聴きながら〜男と女3〜 稲垣潤一&ヘイリー.m4v on youtube. Her high note at 4:15 is magical!

So, I finally got this in the mail today! I must say, it's quite different from most of the other albums I get just for a Hayley duet. Oftentimes I'll usually just enjoy the duet and maybe one or two other songs, and find the others not quite up to par. However, I was extremely surprised when I listened to this album the whole way through. As it is a "duets" album, I was expecting something more like Tony Bennett's Duet albums - something kind of gimmicky, easy, and quite vanilla – that is to say, bland. But, in truth, that's not the case (at least for me). Maybe it's because I already have a bit of a taste for Eastern pop music, but I actually enjoyed every song on this album – some more than others – but I don't dislike any of them. I also love the variety of styles; there is everything from classic J-Pop material, to songs that sound like they might make their way onto HSJS 3, Sunshiney-pop, flowing ballads, something lightly tropical/Latin-flavoured, even straight-up disco. And Hayley's duet is a great way to end the album - remember people most often remember the first and last things they hear. In a sentence: I really, really like this album. -Taylor
