Well done John. It's always good that a forum member is able to cover a concert involving Hayley, particularly those that the "HWI army" isn't able to attend! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes Martin

She hasn't worn that dress since 2008! Including at the Capitol 4th show on July 4th, and the Festival of Remembrance 2008. Also on Songs of Praise. Oh, and she wore it for part of the Classical Brits launch that year too.

Just back from the Albert Hall .Hayley sang 3 songs, A nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square ,River of Dreams ,and We'll Meet Again .She looked fantastic in a red ,off the shoulder dress. Was it worth £33 for 3 songs ? You bet, every penny! Mike Hi I have just returned from London, where I attended "Scarlet & Gold". In fact Hayley sang four songs, not 3. She came back for the encore, a very rousing "Land of Hope and Glory". Hayley and the actress Hannah Gordon, who was providing the links, were both presented with large bouquets of flowers. It was a fantastic concert! I was on a bus on Friday about 5:30pm and thought I saw Richard getting on at Kew Gardens? Or do you have a double? If it was you I hope you were listening to Hayley on your MP3 player! cheers Tony

Was it worth £33 for 3 songs ? You bet, every penny! Mike It was certainly worth it for a Hayley fan, but the whole concert was very entertaining. The band was much bigger, and better directed than those on the BoB tour (at least the two I attended). And bagpipes as well for those who like them. I went with a group of Service people most of whom had never really heard Hayley before, but (naturally) they were very impressed with her singing and commented on it afterwards. It's true that Hayley also sang LHG, but from where I was sitting it was difficult to hear her through the audience! (For that reason I didn't include it on the recording I posted earlier.)

Thanks x Hi! You must be very proud of your boyfriend, and I can understand you would want to have a picture of him performing. Just an idea - as you will be aware there were video cameras operating to show pictures on the two screens. It's entirely possible that they were recorded, even if only for internal use. You might like to try contacting the Guards Museum Curator who organised and presented the show. If anyone could get some images, he would be the man. The contact details are in the programme, if you have a copy. Otherwise I could email them to you.

I think it was me. It was a No.65 and I got on at the stop on Kew Bridge. I didn't notice you, but I went upstairs and stayed on the bus to Kingston. I don't have an MP3 player, so I was probably listening to Classic FM on my pocket radio. Best wishes, Richard

Thank you to all who followed the link to my post on the Classical Crossover forum, and to those who have replied here. For those who couldn't make that leap of technology, here are some pictures of our "Scarlet and Gold" Hayley. Sorry about the quality, the RAH is a big place for a little camera. Since I had my moment of glory with the previous week's Big Sing, I had decided to leave others to post here first, but I couldn't resist replying to Richard's question about photos. It was a magnificent concert, showing the versatility of our guards' musicians, and of course, Hayley sang beautifully. I am still in a dream following my two unplanned meetings with Hayley in the space of one week . I realize how privileged we are in Britain to get so much of Hayley's time. My next booked Hayley occasion is on 22nd December. I think it's going to be a long three months. John

Thanks for posting, John! I really like the banner in your signature, but it was too wide for the forum. I've resized it to 800 x 180 pixels in your profile, and I've also reduced the size of the large photographs in your post as you requested. Best wishes, Richard

Oh, and she wore it for part of the Classical Brits launch that year too. I really should have recognized the dress - I have watched that 'Whispering Hope' video many times. But on the evening, I just thought how appropriate it was for the occasion. And for those who like to keep a record of which earrings Hayley has worn with each dress, they were the same ones that she wore for the BoB Croydon concert (better pictures in that thread). John
