Thank you Dave.
That was perfect timing. I am just back from refereeing rugby and it is a delight to hear the regular trio back together.
It is a far cry from the rugby pitch where the language is more akin to a Charlotte Church late night show.
No doubt Fiona (did I hear Parrys the first time round) will soon be winging her way back home to Christchurch for the winter season.
PS. I have never heard a live audience for Woman's Hour before (not that I am a regular listener).

Hi everyone, that is a nice recording of Hayley, and a warm response from the audience it sounds as though they had quite a large audience too. This program went on air two years after I arrived on the scene. I can remember my mum listening to it when I was young before I went to school. If I remember rightly it used to be on around 2.pm daily on what was then known as the “BBC Light Program” the other station run by bbc was the “Home Service” One other program that became an institution was “The Archers” this was a daily saga with a repeat on a saturday evening, this program was also broadcast here in NZ, Cheers, Rodders CH CH NZ i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

While few of us it seems normally listens to Woman's Hour, it was interesting learning Haley had appeared before, presumably for a personal chat as well as to sing, when she was sixteen.

Hello Peter, As always, HWI has Hayley's original interview on Woman's Hour from September 2003 and it's here in "Radio HWI". The latest one is now there, too. I find it very interesting to go back and listen to these old clips every now and again! Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave, hi all,
many thanks for your record of Halyey’s performance. Really nice to listen to her “live” again. What a pity that she cancelled her concerts in Germany - but every day we have her voice in our thoughts.
Kind regards, Lothar

Perhaps this was for the benefit of her guitarist! This alone clearly demonstrates Hayley's natural "perfect pitch" sensitivity. Outstanding! Some vocalists wouldn't dare sing a note until their guitarist has played the opening note first. WOW! Hayley never ceases to amaze me! Her singing gift is God given. Listening to this live performance from Hayley gave me goosebumps! Regards, Andrew

Cheers, Dave Yes Dave, Many thanks for both making that beautiful .wma available to us all & referring us to the 2003 clip which, oddly enough ,I hadn't heard up to now. Thank you Andrew too for your pitch & other notes. God's gifting of people in various ways has always fascinated me. Hayley's awareness of her own gifting of that voice of hers plus all the other things she's been blessed with is very heart warming especially as it's clothed with humility. Graemek
