Hi everyone, I was just hearing "When The Stars Go Blue" on my iPod, and begun thinking 'could there actually be a better Hayley duet then this?' So I was just wondering what could be your favorite Hayley duets. - Anshita

I like the duet from Hayley with Meav from Celtic Woman - New journey 'Last Rose of Summer' It's been my favourite.
But I also love the duet with Helmut Lotti 'There's a Sparkle in your eyes'
If they're better then 'When the Stars Go blue'? I don't know. I equally love them all

I'll add the semi-duet with Dame Vera Lynn and the duet with Shin at (I think) the world games in Taiwan. Both stunning.

I agree with most of the above. But we mustn't forget her great collaborations with Jonathan Ansell and the Valentines tour. On that tour she hit the final high note of Amigos Para Siempre with truly awesome power, actually outpowering Jonathan. Wonderful.

The Festival of Remembrance stuff with Jonathan was pretty awesome, too (Only reason I watched it was for Hayley, though Faryl was a nice bonus. Wouldn't have watched the whole thing just for her, though. She good, but she not Hayley).

I think there's already a poll for favorite duets. My favorites are The Moon Represents My Heart with Shin, and There's a Sparkle in your Eyes with Helmut Lotti. Oh, but I seem to remember that the poll didn't include the Helmut Lotti one.

Yes, I also noticed that many people seem to like "There's A Sparkle In Your Eyes". I like it too, but I remember seeing the video some time ago. Not the best video, especially I didn't like the way Helmut was acting throughout the video. But like always, Hayley makes it better! - Anshita

Yes, I mostly like it because of Hayley's stunningly beautiful voice, and the song itself, too. I think Helmut has a pleasant voice, though not amazing. But easy on the ears, at least.

I feel Helmut's voice is alright though, but I couldn't really tolerate him throughout the video. But that doesn't matter. The song is nice though!
I also like the duet with Ronan Keating "It's only christmas". Especially when Hayley begins singing. Goodness, it always leaves me amazed how wonderful her voice is. I love Ronan's voice as well.

Usually I don't watch the video, I listen to it on the Prayer CD, so I don't think about anything besides how nice the song is.

My favourite Hayley duet must be from the first time I ever encountered her, in September 2004, singing Silent Night with Aled Jones in the Royal Albert Hall. www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5LA3kyh8sE

Hello John, The performance was really beautiful! I love their duet as well. I even have the only-audio version of this performance in my iPod i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifIt's really beautiful. I also like Aled's voice very much. - Anshita

My favorite duets with Male singers: There's a Sparkle in your eyes - I love the way they both capture the old-style way of singing in this song, and their voices sound very, very nice together. I disagree on your comments dislikeing Helmut's behaviour on the video, yes, it's very flirty, but it's just acting for a video, a part of Helmut's charming old-fashioned appeal he wants to put in her DVDs. And Hayley is interpreting very well her part in the acting aspect too. It's Only Christmas - It's really been the song of this year's Christmas for me. It really reconforts me very much on some personal issues and, once again, I love the way they both sound. Somehow ,Ronan is not the kind of voice I imagined would suit Hayley best, but, once again, Hayley surprised me with her versatility and abbility to somehow adapt the way she sings and delivers her voice to be able to sing any kind of music with any artist and sound great. Un Giorno Per Noi (Classical BRITs Performance) - Well, as I said somewhere else, when I first heard this performance with Jonathan Ansell, I didn't like it that much. It was afterwards, I rediscovered it, listened to it properly and loved the emotion and which is I think Hayley's darkest voice and the performance that puts her closer to the Opera standards than any other.
I am unsure about what my order of preference would be on those three duets, But then again, there's Last Rose of Summer, with Méav, that I think is even a little beyond those three for me. Well, and about When The Stars Go Blue, it's very fine, I love that song, and of course, Hayley sings it very nicely, but, my favorite version is definately by Bono and The Corrs, I think they really make it their own.

Hi Michal, I understand what Anshita means with Helmuts, little, strange kind of acting. He does well overall, but if you look at his eyes sometimes...I mean..if he were a dog, his tongue would hang out and start drooling i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif....mostly on the balcony scenes you see it. Or maybe I'm the only one noticing that...I believe I saw few comments about this in a different threat... Though he's not a bad guy at all. He sings also very well. But ofcourse Hayley is stealing the show with her oh so great remarkable voice . Sharon

Hey Sharon and Michal, Helmut indeed does well overall, he has a great voice. But maybe in the video, "flirty" is the word to describe him. But that really doesn't matter anyway. The song's great. Hayley's and Helmut's voices blend very well. But I agree with Sharon: "Hayley is stealing the show with her oh so remarkable voice" . Anshita i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif
