Anyone who has been following the World Cup has probably noticed this ad. The first half is some heavy metal track that doesn't interest me in the slightest but after 27 seconds it cuts to a sublime tune with heavenly singing. A short investigation revealed it to be Handel's Ode to the birthday of Queen Anne, written in 1713 and quite beautifully sung by Welsh soprano Elin Manahan Thomas, an early music specialist. You can hear the whole thing on Youtube, 3 minutes 46 seconds well spent.

You mean the song Eternal Source of Divine Light, right? Wow, that was beautiful! Love Baroque pieces. She is a serious Classical singer, yet her way of singing ressembles so much Hayley. Yes, it is clear she is specialised in ancient music, and not in Opera.
I could so easily fit Hayley singing that song and it wouldn't sound that different: I have my doubts about the short trino in the middle part of the song, Hayley has never done trinos (which of course, doesn't mean she can't... I feel it's the same as singing unmiked, I would expect her to pop up one day or another with a perfect trino), but other than that, i see Hayley well capable of singing this.
