In the video available here ( hwi.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Concert&action=display&thread=1178344665&page=3#1179516705), Hayley describes herself as a guest with Celtic Woman. The consensus both here and on the 'official' CW forums is that this is true. I'm...rather hoping this isn't the case (reality is overrated anyway), so any information you can provide on the subject (good or bad) would be much appreciated. Thanks. Edit: I added url tags to make the link in brackets clickable. Richard

H flip8,
The honest answer is that we don't know for sure. Wer were originally told that Hayley would be "dipping in and out" (of Celtic Woman) as she pursued her solo career. For some time, that looked as though it would only be for the duration of the current US tour but it is now possible that it could continue beyond that. We hope to receive updated information from her manager from time to time and we will certainly post any further information as soon as we have it.
Roger

Most of Celtic Woman fans clearly want Hayley to stay. But not all....see post below (from Lisa's forum[/url]).

A very interesting post, Stephany. I would not wish to say too much as I would not want Hayley to lose the options she has with CW as I believe they are good for her. I also believe that this is a fair exchange scenario, CW gains from Hayley. Just possibly they gain so much that Hayley simply stands out!...but that is the difference between a solo artist and a group. A solo artist has those qualities groups do not but any distinction of a solo artist does not in any way undermine the group construct. The group concept is as a group and a solo artist will never detract from that reality. They are two different genres.

Hello Stephany, Peter and everybody! I'm not going to add to the quoted post from Lisa Kelly's forum, but do click on the link and read the replies. It's quite an interesting discussion already, and there is mention of Hayley being used to live shows but new to the group. With her vast experience as a live performer, it's inevitable that Hayley will tend to stand out from the others, especially in the eyes of people that already know her through her solo career. I'm sure she makes a conscious effort to come across as part of the group, particularly during the ensemble numbers. Best Wishes, Richard

Hi Richard. Thx. for the reply. I was able to Lisa's home page but not able to get to the 'Hayley? ' thread. If you were able to read my response, I was obviously upset by the insinuation that Hayley was 'showboating'. I was hoping to get back in and edit my reply so as not to upset all the CW fans, of which I am one. But I'm a bigger Haley fan!!! Regards.

I've met some other Celtic Woman Forum members and have been following the forum discussions over the past few months. Judging by that it does seem like Hayley's really won a fair number new fans. It may hurt her to stay associated with Celtic Woman in the long run as US audiences may begin to see her as a CW spinoff rather than a solo artist in her own right.
I would like to see her so some solo work (CD, DVD or both) with David Downes arrangements of new material at some point in the future. He does some excellent arrangements!
