Oh, thanks for letting us know, Richard. I guess I'll have to wait a little longer, but the video is nice in the meantime. So, I'm definitely not complaining. Hello Libby! You might not have to wait that long after all! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRichard

Karl Jenkins was on BBC Breakfast TV this morning. They showed a small clip of Hayley and Karl from the EMI released video and then interviewed Karl.
Best Wishes,
Graham,

Hello folks! Hayley and Karl Jenkins just gave a live interview on BBC Radio Kent, and I listened online. The studio recording of "I'll Make Music" was played in full, then Hayley and Karl chatted with Pat Marsh for about five minutes. Karl said the readings on the album are all quite short, and Hayley confirmed that she won't be at the world premiere performance on Sunday because she's flying to Rome to record her new album. So what was the interview that we submitted our questions for Kalr or Hayley for?

Hi Libby,
It is to contribute to an interview planned by the PR company. Trouble is, my contact there was away this week and now we know Hayley will be away for the next two weeks so we may have to be patient.

Hello folks! I heard on Classic FM that Karl Jenkins' 'Gloria' will be Simon Bates' CD of the Week next week. He'll be playing a track soon after 10:00 each morning from Monday to Friday. Richard

Thanks Richard, it was very interesting! I have recorded it so if anyone (such as from outside the UK) cannot access it and wishes to hear the interview part, let me know and I'll upload it as an .mp3. I've been looking at the possibilities for the UK charts when this is released on Monday. It may not enter the main pop album chart (though the top 100 is a possibility) but I think it has a 50/50 chance of topping the classical charts. Andrew Rieu's "Forever Vienna" waltz album is the problem - it has been top of the classical chart now for all of 2010 - 27 consecutive weeks, which is probably an all-time record by a mile. It has been slowly sliding down the main album chart though and is currently not far outside the top 100 - not far below where we would expect Karl Jenkins to enter the chart. So next week may be a "battle royal" between the two of them for the no. 1 classical spot. EMI will definitely want Karl top so hopefully they will do some TV advertising, well I hope so! Keep your eyes peeled, UK members, it could be important! Ironically, Decca (Hayley's record company!) may decide to try and spoil things for Karl by counter-advertising Andre Rieu, which would push him back up the charts - but I am hopeful they will not do that, because of Hayley. We will know in 7 days time, fingers crossed for the no. 1! Dave

Hello Dave! The interview will only be available on the BBC iPlayer until Friday, so perhaps you could post the MP3 anyway, please. You could post it on our new website too. Best wishes, Richard

Oh dear, there was a new Classic FM "artist" album out last week which (with all the free radio publicity they get) has entered the main chart at no. 60 and is the first album this year to knock Andre Rieu off the top of the classical chart (today). It is THE GUITARIST by CRAIG OGDEN.
It may slip down the chart next week but could still be high enough to keep Karl and Hayley off the top of the classcial charts. I hope not, and we shall find out next Sunday.
