Hello folks! I've just returned from St. Bartholomew's Hospital in the City of London, where I met up with Gordon and Grant to watch another excellent performance by Fiona Pears. She was joined by Ian Tilley on keyboard and Rob Aitken on guitar, and she played several of her own compositions together with some well-known standards. Here's the set list: Part OneLady Be Good Magic Sands Memories Of Martin And Mary Cinema Paradiso Tangissimo Dark Eyes Part TwoTchavolo Swing This Land Minor Swing Far Away I Found A New Baby Feeling Czardas It was rather windy in the courtyard, but luckily the rain held off and Fiona and the boys gave a brilliant performance that had the sixty-strong crowd enthralled. After the concert we had a chat with Fiona and Ian, then Fiona headed for one of the wards to play for the patients. The three of us adjourned to the Butcher's Hook & Cleaver for a late lunch, which rounded off the proceedings rather nicely. Richard
