Hi, Hopefully the flight chaos will be over till July. Eastbourne was the first city I visited in the U.K. roughly 10 years ago and so it's a nice opportunity to come back to the seaside. I'll be there on 6th of July. Cheers, Karsten

Hello Karsten,
Enjoy the concert this evening. As it is the first performance on the Battle Of Britain Tour, I eagerly await your reports photos!
Is anyone else going to Eastbourne for the show?
Best wishes, Joe

Hi, Caitlin, Libby and Joe, Many thanks for your wishes. The weather is more than fine, bright sky and a light breeze from the sea. There was some PR for the show in the local newspaper and at the tourist office - and last but not least I found one poster at the Parade. When I collected my ticket today in the morning there was even a little queue with people buying tickets - o.k., six people... I'm now on my way to the seaside just in front of my hotel's doorstep and then to the concert. All the Best, Karsten

Hi, Hayley arrived quite late, perhaps because she and the Central Band had rehearsed yesterday already. After a short chat she disappeared for the sound check which s going on at the moment, I suppose. Concert in two hours, and I've to change clothes. Cheers, Karsten

Now ! THAT IS A REAL SMILE !
Nice one Karsten
and that is often the difference between the HWI photographers pictures and the ones taken by commercial photographers where Hayley is prompted or forced to "pose and smile for the camera"

Hi all, Tomorrow I'll have to start early... - so only a very short report: The concert was very worth attending it - I heard 'Abide With Me' live for the first time, Dame Vera Lynn was the guest of honour , the public quite enthusiastic, and ... (more to follow) By now as usually many thanks to Hayley and to the Central Band of the RAF. Here's the song list: First Half National Anthem (Central Band of the RAF) Mars (Holst) Battle of Britain March (Goodwin) White Cliffs of Dover (Burton/Kent) - Hayley South Rampart Parade (Bauduc/Haggart) Trombones number 5 (Pardo) Thunderbirds (Gray) Nightingale in Berkley Square (Traditional) - Hayley Danny Boy - Hayley Spitfire Prelude & Fugue (Walto) Interval

Second Half RAF at the Movies (Coates/Goodwin) Minstrel Boy & Toss the Feathers (Traditional) As Time Goes By - Hayley Pokarekare Ana - Hayley Knightsbridge March (Coates) London Parade Glen Miller Selection Band of Brothers Abide With Me (Monk) - Hayley Pomp and Circumstance No 4 RAF March Past (Dyson/Davies) Encore: We'll Meet Again - Hayley Sorry for the quality, but this time the conditions weren't as favourable as in Yeovil. Best wishes, Karsten PS.: Hayley mentioned four planned Christmas concerts this year in the UK, so keep watching
