All day bus ticket gets you on any bus in Nottingham and includes the tram £3.20 . There is a tram stop outside the Royal Concert Hall , Upperparliament Street. All buses terminate in the centre , look for the Old Market Square (Hayley laid the first new slab at our new look square ) , find the two white lions , looking at them look to your left you will see the Vienna Bar . Vienna Bar is on a point at the bottom of two streets , take the left hand street follow to the top and you will find the Theatre Royal which is linked to the Royal Concert Hall. If you park in the centre most carparks are in walking distance BUT beware of the TIME they LOCK-UP ... If you get lost you can phone me if you like 07931154695 . By the way we have a beach at the Old Market Square at the moment ...

Thanks Grant and Johno. Nottingham always seems awkward, considering that Leicester is almost as big, it seems much more problematic - I have no problems parking in Leicester on the rare occasions I venture there (despite living only 2 miles from its centre).
I am looking forward to this immensely, I haven't seen Hayley since last December and it is too long.
Thanks for you advice, although I have nightmares about being stuck in central Nottinghan with my car many miles away. I suppose I'm just not a city person.

Heey Belinda,
Good to see, you've arrived safely in the UK. Enjoy the Croydon concert(Sorry for Cardiff), have a nice time, and we will meet next week in Nottingham. I guess', if everything goes well, i will be there about 11.30 am. Karsten will pick me up at the AirCoach busstop, at Friarlane(?). I will drop ofmy luggage at Travellodge City centre, and go to the concert hall.

We should be thare by 3pm I hope. I will work the morning, so drive home from Rugby about 12:30, arrive home about 1300 hours. Then it is a question of prising Sue out of the house say about an hour, so maybe 3pm or a bit before by the time we have driven there and braved the Park and Ride. BTW Grant, do you know if our bus passes will work on the P & W?
It will be wonderful to meet you all again, and even more wonderful,I hope you will forgive me for saying so, to see Hayley again after so long.

Friar Lane is very close to the Old Market Square , the road is a very slight hill , make sure that you feel that you are heading downwards , keep going till you find the square , the lions are the other side of the square , out side the Council House Building ...

Hi Martin BTW Grant, do you know if our bus passes will work on the P & W? 'fraid not Martin, bus passes are just that - they are not valid on trams, sorry! An all day ticket costs £3.00 - still a lot cheaper than trying to park in the city! Best wishes Grant

I will be there about 1430 hrs. I will be parking in the carpark across from the Theatre Royal (which is joined on to the concert hall) For anyone who wants to park you come up Maid Marion Way go round the rounadabout take 2nd exit drive along for 1/4 mile there is a carpark on the right hand side(don't know how much it costs) or if you miss that one there is other car parks near there as you also have a large cinema as well as the two theatres. Looking forward to seeing you all. Maryxx

Martin D In my experience they work everywhere except in London where I usually make use of a travel card bought with my train ticket--but there is always the exception!! Aah. Hadn't realised it was trams, so that makes a difference? Wanted to travel around Croydon on theirs, but not making tomorrow unfortunately. Peter S.

Spoken to a bus driver friend who thinks that your bus pass may be used on the tram , so have money ready but give it a go ...
