Major prizes at charity event this weekend

A DAY of events in Boston Spa will help raise money for Ovarian Cancer Action.
This Saturday, March 20, will see a coffee and cupcake afternoon held at Deepdale Community Centre from noon onwards.
It will be followed by an 80s disco at the Crown Hotel in High Street from 8pm, including fancy dress.
Despite being in hospital receiving treatment for chronic arthritis in recent weeks, organiser Claire Wood has managed to attract a huge amount of support for both events.
She is holding a raffle and auction with prizes including tickets for West End shows, GMTV goody bags, paintballing vouchers and passes for Lancashire Cricket Club, Bradford Bulls and Leeds rugby matches.
Numerous celebrities and high-profile sports teams have signed items to help raise money, including Manchester United, who provided a signed football, AC Milan, Right Said Fred, Noel Edmonds and Hayley Westenra.
No tickets are required for either event and proceeds will be donated to Ovarian Cancer Action. Claire has been raising money for the charity in memory of her grandmother, who was diagnosed with the disease aged 46 and died six years later.
