Sandy, there is a bit of a problem with On The Wings of Time. It is debatable whether it counts as a live performance, since she was filmed recording it for the album, in the studio, so it is technically a studio recording. I too love that song, and the beautiful documentary video that goes with it, but discounted it for that reason.
I think you will have to rule on this one Martin.

Martin D Hi Martin D, Michal and all, you probably wont receive any response from Sandy for the next few days as Jeff has taken her home to her mountain  , Jeff’s parents were sailing up the coast for a family get together at Sandy’s place to MEET the IN-LAWS  and then they were all going yachting so I’m not sure at this stage when Sandy will be back on air, she asked me if anything pertaining to her was to come up on hwi for me to reply. So whatever you decide on this I’m sure Sandy will agree to. Mel xxx |

Hi Mel (ie Sandy) & All, My choice here is dead easy.... ROMANZA....as this song was part of Hayley's 2002 Concert but did not end up as part of Russell Watsons DVD. That has been of great sorrow to many of us as the song is incomplete even tho there is enough of it left to fall in love with. www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4o6GnstD6QAdded to that, Hayley sang part of it to me at her Jan2008 Kerikeri NZ concert. Also, if you disagree on anythimg. let me know. Here are some considerations: - There are 31 options... That's probably one of the largest polls seen here (although the dresses poll could rivalise with it), but I think there's no need to make any selection, it's in the limit of a reasonable poll. But, I think I'll give 4 votes for each voter, to make voting easier and to also give more volume to the results. - I think voting should be unlimited in time, it's about our favorite performances, not any contest, and any new members should be able to vote in the future. Ok, just noticed there's one problem:... The maximum number of options allowed in a poll is 35... I wonder if it's possible to add them after that, I guess not... We have 31 + 6 new by Jillian, I am gonna take down the Last Rose of Summer from the Celtic Woman DVD (although that duet with Méav was truly magical) and include Jillian's solo option, as we know for sure it was live. But I have to take down one more option. I think it should be one of the repeated songs, I personally think of I know you be hear - Dratford... I think Alban Arena's performance is better, but not clearly enough to make the decision alone. What you think?
Oh, and does anyone know if url tags will work in the poll fields?

Hello Michal! I just tried a test poll, and url tags do work in the poll fields. However, each field is limited to 50 characters including any tags, so I suggest you only list the song titles in the actual poll. You can then list all the songs again with links to the videos in your opening post, underneath the poll (see the Caption Competition polls). I agree with your proposal to exclude 'I Know You By Heart' from Dartford. Good luck, Richard  |
