Israel Kamakawiwo'ole

I was wondering if anyone had heard of this late Hawaiian singer. I hadn't heard of him before, but I really like his musical style. Very relaxing.

He sang quite a few Hawaiian songs, but also covered some well known songs, such as What A Wonderful World, Wind Beneath My Wings and Over The Rainbow.

Hi Irish-Hayley-Fan

I've heard of this wonderful singer a number of years ago, when a 12-year old Aselin Debison covered the song, but as a medley which included "What a Wonderful World" !

Jason Castro sang Israel's version of Over the Rainbow on American Idol in 2008. I like his voice better. Simon liked it!
