The Singing Ravens!

I had a surprise this afternoon. I was watching the Alan Titchmarsh Show knowing that one of his guests would be Andrea Bocelli. He appeared with several instrumentalists, mostly strings, and six backing vocalists. Among this line-up, I spotted Stephanie Benedetti and Natalie Holt of Raven, but they were not playing violin and viola as we might expect - they were two of the singers!

During a second performance a little later, Stephanie and Natalie were playing their usual instruments.

So it seems two members of Raven have another string to their bow... er... as it were!

Surprised! I'm gobsmacked. Still, we wouldn't have known before 'cause playing the violin whilst singing is, I imagine, quite difficult!

On the other hand there could be another reason for the performance. Perhaps the real singers couldn't get to the studio owing to the bad weather and the girls were asked to stand in and mime! (only joking).
