Now only 5 votes off the 25000. The Magic figure should be reached in the next hour or so. Hayley is now only about 27 votes behind 4th place. At the current rate she should take over fourth place sometime in the next few hours. I've just pushed it to 24,999 at 17:02 GMT can't vote for another 2 hrs. Sorry Hayley, I forgot earlier. Peter S.

We need to watch Anuari Vassili (whoever he is) though. Only 300 votes behind Hayley, and with a better average!

At the rate Amaury Vassili's fans are voting, he could overtake both Hayley and Sarah in the next two days Unless of course Hayley's fans keep up the effort

Interesting I can no longer login to vote How convenient, But for who ? Anyway, your time might be better spent sending off a request to a Radio Station that might just play one of Hayley's songs on air

There will be no more voting on the CC site, as was notified a while ago. In the last couple of days, Hayley overtook Sarah in the user ratings but Amaury overtook them both. This means that Hayley will still be at 5th place in the final user chart. All three of them achieved the 25,000 vote level, so that 'trophy' will be shown against their names when the website comes back on line for the new year.
Tha Annual Awards (decided by Nicola) will also be announced then. Hayley was nominated in three categories.

This is the problem isn't it? Who are these people who are above Hayley? How many of them have sold as many records, or been known so long. I had never heard of this Amaury guy until he suddenly appeared in the top 10. But according to this site, he is a better singer than Bocelli or Villazon. Well he might be, I've never heard him, but I'd be surprised, or perhaps I would have heard him. Of the prople ahead of Hayley, perhaps only Jackie deserves to be there, and then solely on her popularity in the USA, for the rest of the world Hayley would be ahead. I might reluctantly concede Sarah too, but she is no longer ahead of Hayley. So there is clearly orgainsed voting going on. And if that is the case, perhaps Hayley's fans are not organised enough.
But next year is a whole new game. Lets start as we mean to go on and get her to no 1 where she belongs.

You are quite right Martin, the user voting has very little to do with the artists' global importance or talent, and everything to do with how many people can be persuaded to vote and how often. Yet I don't think enough people would be persuaded if there wasn't a certain amount of talent there. Nobody has said Amaury Vassili is a better singer than Andrea Bocelli - just more people have persistently voted for him. Rolando Villazon isn't even on the site (he's not classical crossover). Hayley is also popular with fans of many other artists, so it's quite easy to persuade people to vote for her.
But don't get too excited about next year. There will be no more voting on the CC site.
