To the best of my knowledge Graeme the answer is “No” cheers, Rodders Rodders is right, the answer is no. Air New Zealand may be 70 percent owned by the New Zealand goverment, but they are run as a private company and compete with the other airlines. There isn't any subsidy.

Thanks for picking this up Spiderman... Wow tickets are expensive, I wasn't expecting that TBH...but they're taking the angle that it's Hayley's only summer concert in NZ - and I'm sure it'll sell.

Lol good spotting Grant, didn't notice that when I read through it. The actual source for this information is: www.eventfinder.co.nz/2010/jan/havelock-north/hayley-westenra-fiona-pearsIt was copied onto Yahoo Xtra - they must be linked in some way. EDIT: Belinda, you may be right...or maybe the price for the "Bistro Concert Dinner" is just for the dinner? (on top of the ticket price).

mel... my estimate for the cost of this expedition: 150$ for the ticket ; 300 for accomadation [expensive but it looks nice; the cheapest is 80$, most around 140]; 250 for flight, 50$ for gannet colony trip, 140 for airport transfers= 890$ not including food and other miscellaneous stuff... mind you milbrook cost 950.
it'll be my fourth hayley concert and ive never been to a concert in the same town... i wonder if she's noticed [ since i dont expect shes actually remembered me from the other 3]

I think I will get the $150 ticket. I hope to take my car by ferry to the Nth Island (around $200 each way) and then I will stay in my tent for a few nights so it will not cost me too much. HEY Ross........how bigs u tent...... i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSandyxxx
