Hi Belinda, Ross & Jono Glad you enjoyed the concert despite the atrocious weather conditions. Reminds me of Woburn in 2006 and Hampton last year. The things we do to follow Hayley! Your memories and photos will last forever but I hope you are able to see Hayley again later this year. Best wishes Martin Actually i feel like it was all a dream

H Day + 1A couple of things to make clear from the concert. That was all the photos I took. The ticket said no photography so I smuggled my camera in. I didn't take my video camera so no videos . As it was there were no camera police so everyone was taking photos so in the end it was more about the rain and how well the photos would turn out. Anyway the next day even though overcast was at least fine. I went to the Cape Kidnappers Gannet colony. I went by tractor and trailer so it was tide dependent. So the 4.5 hour tour left at 4pm. The tractor and trailers were fun but bouncy as it went over rocks and sometimes it went into the sea as well. We only got stuck once. This was when we got stuck When we got near the end of the cape we had to walk up to the top to get to the Gannet colony. Looking to the end of Cape Kidnappers where you can see another Gannet colony.

H Day +2Today I got up early and headed off to Rotorua for a day trip. I stopped at Taupo for breakfast. Lake Taupo Lake Taupo is the biggest lake in NZ and was formed thousands of years ago by a huge volcanic eruption. This was the main reason for the trip to Rotorua was to see the Thermal areas. The drive from Taupo to Rotorua is very interesting as you see a lot of steam arising out of the farmland and the forests. This is because of the geothermal activity along this road. First stop was at Waiotapu Thermal Reserve south of Rotorua. Lady Knox Geyser which erupts at 10:15am every day. Champagne Pool Next stop was at the Te Puia thermal area in Rotorua. Pohutu Geyser erupting. This was a famous geyser in Rotorua but with recent extraction of hot water in the past few decades, the eruption isn't as high now. Mud pools. Lastly I visited the Buried Maori village at Tarawera which erupted in 1886. Now I have to head back to Havelock North.

Hi Ross, I'm shocked that they'd say "no photographer" for an outdoor concert! That's very strange. It wasn't like that for the Winery Tour in 2008. But we are SO glad that you got the photos you did. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifDori

She said it had to do with the photo owners demeaning their artist with their pics plus blah blah. I'd like to see 1 of our HWI "illegally" taken pics demeaning Hayley. Many of the Pro Photographers could learn a thing or 2 from them. (or 3) Thanks Ross...you did well...were there any sodden wet guards around? Graeme

Hi Graeme Well, Grant beat me to it but I at least put it in the right spot. ..... but I put the tweets in the correct order! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif The first of which was in the right spot. Then Hayley just kept tweeting so I kept them all together. Best wishes Grant

hi everyone, i guess im the last person who gets an opinion here... im back home with my laptop. fourth concert over.
my day started at one with thunder, lightning all that stuff that instils confidence in the weather. i was so terrified it would be cancelled that i coudnt get back to sleep and got to turn my alarm clock off before bustling off to the airport...planes can be slept on. yay.
after much detouring got to concert at 7, having got a ride from my rather adorable b&b down the road. it was almost sunny, until fiona came out and it took a cue to rain, strangly it stopped for hayley the first time. her song list was an interesting little selection, which seemed strangly like a list of my favorite hayley tunes and even one new one!!
i was completly captivated by that stage [so much so i lost my seat at interval, only to be tapped on the shoulder and have it pointed out the seat was two to my right. blind as a bat am i,
and then followed the second half, which was marked by water, umbrellas... and dsl hayley apologising for the rain. poor thing; i realised i was wet at that point, having gone hayley's entire performance with out noticing. i could have sat for longer. i waited two years for her to come back. did anyone else cheat and sing the chorus to songbird, when she was . i did.

I remember being told "no professional cameras" at the Blenheim gate 2008 (rhymes) & mine was OK'd. The main emphasis was no filming. However we were shoved around a fair bit by the guard & I got told "you've had enough" when I'd taken around 5 shots. The rules got made up as it suited. One of our members had his camera taken off him & the whole Hard Drive deleted....not nice. Graeme
