Nicola Benedetti performed at the RFH last night playing the Violin Concerto in A minor by Glazunov. Needless to say she was just brilliant and held the audience (full house almost) captive throughout. At the end she got three encores.

ps the conductor of the Philharmonia orchestra, which is the resident orchestra at the RFH, was Leif Segerstam who is literally a larger than life character and would equally be at home in Santa's grotto in Lapland!
