I can't believe it either. I only knew him from G4, but still a shame. Early singer deaths chill me. This really reminds me of Michael Jackson's death earlier this year.

Hi all, this is really sad, i believe it was due to alcohol, we see so much of this in my profession that it really is such a waste of a beautiful life for one night of fun, my heart goes out to his parents. Melisa.

Nord: Stephen Gately wasn't from G4, but from a pop boyband called Boyzone. Stephen Gately was my first crush. I was in love with him for three years when I was 10-13. Sad, but a part of my childhood. I had no interest in him afterwards, but it's always sad to lose someone so young, especially when it could have been avoided. R.I.P. Stephen. In my fandom of you, I learned that your ultimate dream was to sing for a Disney film, and you managed that. x

Nord: Stephen Gately wasn't from G4, but from a pop boyband called Boyzone. No, Stephen wasn't in G4 but he did a duet of 'No Matter What' with them. I'm not really a Boyzone fan, but they seem like a decent group of lads. RIP Stephen.
