Hi Roger Thanks for the delightful photo's of Christchurch (UK). I have been myself many years before but you have reminded me that I must visit again - oh and by the way, Norman Tower doesn't look a day older i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifIt looks as though you picked a lovely summer day to visit - yes I know it was September, but then that was when summer started this year wasn't it Thanks for sharing with us. Best regards Mark

Well Roger, looked through those photos again and it dawned on me, Good material there for a few drawings, Sometimes life gets hectic and we forget to do the things that bring us pleasure like drawing and making things. Get out the old charcoal and pencils and reduce your carbon footprint That's the great thing about this recession, (2nd best thing to happen this century) It gives us more time to do the important things in life and take a little time out for ourselves and friends.

Hi Sandy, There are quaint old tea rooms like this in many towns in the UK, especially those around the coast. The building that houses the on in the photograph is over 700 years old! But the cream teas are made freshly on site every day! The building also incorporates a perfumary and gift shop. If I go ther again, I will email you a cream tea! Roger Hey Roger...that cream tea u gunna email me...can i have a couple of donuts with that....cream ones with jam... i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif.taaaaa heaps...yummmy i cant wait hey Love Sandyxxx

Hi Eva, A cream tea is a traditional afternoon snack here in the UK, especially in the south west. It comprises scones with jam and clotted (or whipped) cream and throughly recommended by me! I didn't know this but according to Wikipedia, they are also popular throughout Commonwealth countries... and that explains Sandy's interest!... Hi Sandy, Huh? You want a cream tea and a couple of donuts? OMG! Okay then, as it's you! Roger

Hi Paul, I like the suggestion. As you may recall, I used to attempt a few sketches but when I tried recently, I failed dismally! Out of practise, I guess. Maybe I will have a go someday... but I'm not promising to post the results here! Roger

Hey Roger/ Sandy/ Eva, Funny that I've had "Cream Teas" many times, but I've never heard the name "Cream Tea" before. I dont think I have heard a name for them at all....probably just scones with cream and jam..lol I'll have to ask my Grandmother if she knows what a Cream Tea is. Jono

Maybe a drawing of the ducking chair for those who are "Off Topic"

Hi Roger,
Nice to hear from you again! We visited that Christchurch last year, not to be confused with Christ Church, of which I am Church Secretary. One day I hope to see the other one too, Hayley's Christchurch.
Love the pictures.
Martin
