I said this in another thread, but just do you know, her album has been pulled back to the 23rd November to add a second disc full of Christmas songs. It's still really cheap on Amazon though. Under £8.

I like her voice very much- she reminds me very much of Hayley. I think her album will sell very well.

there is an article on Camilla in today's (sunday's) Sunday Express paper- UK... i don't know how to scan it though ;( I can't believe that she hasn't even released the album yet and she's already being compared to Katherine Jenkins...am I really the only one in the country who thinks there is nothing to compare!- she sounds nothing like Katherine Jenkins, Hayley and All Angels- yes, she does sound similar to..but what's with all these comparisons? I think they are comparing them because of the image. As mass media publications do not know of any other huge female classical singers - so anyone else probably isn't in their consciousness. KJ is probably the one person they identify with. But it is justified a little, as they really do look similar, and will be releasing similar music. Probably a similar marketing campaign. It has also been said that Camilla has the same range as KJ.
Vocally though, Camilla has the same vocal type as Emma Shapplin: Coloratura Soprano

I'd like to know what exactly is a Coloratura Soprano ? I hope this doesn't mean she is classically trained as such singers always seem to display an excessive amount of vibrato at the high end of their range. I know that's how they're trained but I still don't like it. (Heard Natalie Dessay singing "Vocalise" the other day. Really painful listening. Seemed to be a full semitone either side of the note!!) From what I've heard Camilla doesn't have this trait and although of course she doesn't quite have Hayley's purity of tone, she is very, very close making this album a must buy for me this Xmas (as well as Hayley's and Faryl's)

Coloratura refers to the dexterity in vocals, I think, and the heightened ability to sing very, very high. I'm sure there is a specific note range, but I'm not that hot on note technicality. It has nothing to do with vibrato, though using an excess of it would surely slow the vocals down.
Camilla is not classically trained, by the way. From what I have gathered, she has no intention of opera whatsoever, but basks in her ability to reach high notes.

Yeah, lol. Basically vocal gymnastics from what I can make out.
I'm so glad I know what 'trills' means. Lol! My piano lessons were not wasted!

Camilla has also tweeted that tweet at Katherine Jenkins and Blake. Probably many more that I haven't noticed. She must be *really* excited.
