Too bad the rules don't allow more than one entry per person. This is rarely the case in most contests meant to be fun.
If we're so particular about rules, why allow comments that might prejudice the judging, such as the one that said only the Martins' captions were funny enough for them?
Great job, Richard, of enforcing the rules by deleting my second attempt -- which I wouldn't have felt necessary to post if things were fair all along!

Oh come on Steve, how hard can it be to read and comply with the two basic rules? -- 3 photos -- 1 caption per photo. You said it yourself, "meant to be fun." and challenging simple rules just creates more work for the staff involved, these things aren't dreamed up and implemented in five minutes you know. Well I guess the competition is now closed for entries? It's now 3.30am on the 1st of Oct (in UK). I'm a little annoyed that I didn't get a chance to make a caption for my favourite picture of the three - but rules are rules, and I couldn't think of anything anyway! |

You're right, Jono. Entries Now ClosedNever mind, hopefully there will be more of these in the future. Of course, complaints about the rules will be taken into consideration when deciding how future caption contests will be held. Hi Libby,
As pointed out kindly by master photographer Grant, Group 4 is a well known uk security company sometimes known as g4 hence,the play on Mr Ansells former membership of g4 .
This comment clearly left them speechless!!.
