Hello everyone. I trust you are all well. Since Hayley plays guitar, I thought that I'd put up a post about Tommy Emmanuel, a fantastic guitarist from Australia. No doubt that those of you who are from that area, know of him. Tommy is generally recognized as the world's best acoustical guitarist. I don't know if Hayley has ever performed with Tommy. I would appreciate it if someone could please let me know. This past Sunday, I had the privilege of attending his "Master Class" on Long Beach Island, on the New Jersey shore. I also attended his concert on Monday evening. Tommy is a bundle of energy and is absolutely amazing. His reputation is well deserved.

Hi Gene I would agree with your notion of him being the world's best acoustic guitarist! I used to buy 'Guitarist' magazine which, in one issue, contained a full interview, along with a detailed step by step guide to how to play 'Antonella's Birthday'. I was astounded at his ability! He explained how to play some of the passages, whilst actually playing them! Plus the magazine also provided the full guitar tablature for the song. The song is not easy, not by a long way! How he could play it and explain it at the same time is beyond me! Thanks for starting up this thread - I don't know about most of the threads started for individual singers, but ones started for gutarists I will probably know more about! Cheers Ben P.S I dont know if Hayley has ever performed with Tommy. It would be amazing if they did perform together! I've just listened to a preview of the song 'Walls' from his album The Mystery', and that duet sung with Hayley would sound amazing. (The original sounds amazing as well!

Hi Ben and thanks for your comments.
"Antonella's Baby" is a great tune. Tommy's strength of dexterity simply amazes me. I have played guitar for as long as Tommy has and I can't even come close to his talent.
Meeting him was a pleasure. He is a great person. Down to earth and real. He is very willing to share his "secrets" and help other guitarists. He is a real credit to Australia.
Cheers!
