Fiona will be performing at the Women on Air Suffrage Day Celebration in the Christchurch Girls' High Auditorium, 10 Matai Street West on Monday 21st Sept at 7:30pm
She will be accompanied on the piano by her sister Jill and promises some new tunes.

Monday 21 September at Christchurch Girls' High School at 7.30 pm is the date for the 2009 Suffrage Day celebration - Tickets $12 and $10 for Friends of WOA - please wait until after 20 August to phone for these tickets.

The evening presents 3 young women - Shab Dastgeib, an Iranian born post-graduate student in the Mass Communication and Journalism School at Canterbury University who will be speaking about life for women in Iran and her own story so far. Also present is Green Party co-leader, Metiria Turei, and violinist extraordinaire Fiona Pears playing some new compositions especially for this event.

Women on Air are very grateful to Celia Barker from Cavell Leitch Law for their support of this event.
