I guess it's because Pure has been Hayley's biggest triumph to date. There's pretty good bragging rights associated with what Hayley did with that album, so it makes sense for it to be mentioned. Of course, Hayley has done a lot between then and now, but it's more been a lot of little things and nothing that sounds as flashy on paper as the success of Pure. Really? What about her illustrious involvement in the 50th anniversay recording of West Side Story, or her many movie soundtracks? They're more relevant to her adult sound and don't mislead to think she's still in "Pure" voice.

Hello Steve. If you don't like it when journalists still mention Hayley's early days and 'Pure', why do you keep going on about it on the forum? The rest of us want to move on too. Now can we please keep this thread on topic - Winter Magic. Many thanks, Richard

Listening to the tracks on Amazon it is a charming album but I can't help wondering with so many Christmas songs on it, will it get much play once the festive season has come and gone ? Looking at other albums coming out in the next few weeks, Hayley may struggle to get into the Classical Top 3. ( AAAAGH ! Gasps of horror and disgust from the moderators ! SUCH HERESY !! ):

Most Christmas albums, no matter who they are by or how good they are, Often just get put away with the Christmas decorations...........

Hi everyone, The album is not yet available at the Australian Itunes store, but at the New Zealand store there is the New Zealand version "Christmas Magic", and the International version "Winter Magic"... ...The big surprise is that the International version is already available at Itunes Portugal (although it says released on the 30th November)! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI bought one song, just to be sure I wasn't dreaming! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif FANTASTIC! If I see the album in stores here I will buy some copies to offer to family and friends. To get back on topic I already ordered the UK version! Best wishes, Paulo Correia

I get the impression that the Telegraph article is written by someone who isn't all that keen on the genre and knocked it up by rote, honestly. How else to explain the omission of Faryl from the list? It looks more like half an hour's trawl through Wiki than a serious article, to me.
This post is off-topic. Richard

To get this thread back ON topic:- I have been informed by HMV that I will not get my copy until 30th November, not unexpected really but at least they have told me now! I am beginning to wish I had brought the Japanese version - oh no - now I am off topic Steve H

You can listen to samples on Amazon UK now, too. I heard some of the duet, and I'm afraid I might have to buy this one, now, too! I almost wish it wasn't that great, so I wouldn't have to. It's hard to tell from that little bit, though. I was a little disappointed with the sample of Winter's Dream; it stops just as Hayley starts singing. Someone said the intros to some of the songs on WM are a little long, but this is the only one that is like that. Not that it isn't a lovely intro.

Okay, so I called my local B & N today, and they won't have Winter Magic in their store. They said they're mainly "books", and just carry Top 40 albums. He told me the bigger one in West Seattle might be more likely to have it, but that is way too far to be worth it. So, he offered to order it in for me, and contact me when it comes in. Even though the store price is more than the online price (16.99, as opposed to 13.99), I decided to do it this way. It's right near where I work, and I won't have to pay shipping, or have another box to throw away. Or worry about it coming when I'm not home. They'll hold it for 14 days, so I'll have plenty of time to get it. I hardly ever buy music in a "real" store, so it won't kill me to do it this once.

Libby-The Barnes and Noble is the same where I live; they only carry the top 20, but luckily there is a large Borders down the street. I haven't asked, but I will be surprised if they don't have it. I plan to pick up a few copies on the release date and then drive over to the library and donate at least a couple (I don't think the library will buy it without someone requesting it and Christmas will be over before they process a request.) All of the holiday CDs get checked out as Christmas approaches, so hopefully it will create at least a couple new fans.

Hi all, Borders really reduced their CD sales space quite a bit. Best Buy stores have a better selection. If I don't see this CD in the stores, I'll have to get it from Amazon. Six years ago this very day I bought all three of Hayley's CD's from Amazon. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest wishes, Joe

I never saw the album on the Borders' website, although I haven't checked in a while, anyway. It's kind of too late for me now, anyway. I haven't paid for it yet, but I'd hate to have them go to the trouble of ordering it for me for nothing.
Katie, my local library has had all 3 of Hayley's international releases so far, so I'm sure they'll have WM too. I won't need to check it out, but I can still see if they have it. I'll be surprised if they don't. I suppose not all libraries get the same things, but mine seems to get just about everything. Maybe Hayley is more popular here than some other areas of the country.
