Some time ago Nicola did mention that she thought Hayley might go independent from main stream labels. Maybe, just maybe and this is PURE speculation, I don't have a clue where Hayley stands with her recording contract. How many albums are due ? etc. What made her think that? Did she get that from Hayley and her people herself, or what? How long ago was that, anyway? How would her albums be promoted then? I understand wanting to be able to do just what you want to, but if it means nobody except her current fans would be made aware of it, how would she reach the rest of the public?

Hey Libby, Blake is independent now and they're still releasing albums internationally -their latest international release is in my local CD store and they're doing a lot of work touring Asia - especially in the Philippines. Blake makes their records on their own record label 'Blake Records' and then they are distributed through EMI Label Services. I can't say that I know much at all about how it works, but with the internet and digital distribution these days, it's certainly a lot easier. I mean, you're probably not going to get much of the 'big' things that record companies pay for - like appearances on top shows, top events and CDs in major UK supermarkets. But then again half the time Decca never does that anyway! But I'd have to leave comment to someone who actually knows about these things. Cheers, Jillian

Yeah, if you're not a good singer, it might not be good medicine for anybody else around you, so it's probably best to do it when you're home alone.

Hayley has been tweeting again but has obviously never heard me sing. Well she HAS heard me sing, but that didn't stop her tweeting that! So I shouldn't worry Jim! Martin D

I once tried kitchen tap dancing, but I slipped and got my toe stuck in the plughole! Richard

Looks like the 'Hushabye' publicity is about to start in earnest.

This amusing conversation followed Hayley's previous tweet ("It'ssss....interview time!")... Richard
