Thanks for posting that Joe. I did try to do so myself early yesterday morning but for some reason I couldn't get it to embed. Instagram seems very hit and miss these days ! You are welcome Jeff! I agree with your words regarding Instagram; I have not received new post or story notifications for any of Hayley’s recent activity. Usually I first see them on the Hayley Westenra Fans Taiwan Facebook page which is run by our friend Frank Lin. |

Cheers for posting that, Jeff, I 'liked' your post because Hayley seems to be happier with her life now than in her touring days, and said so. Having a happy private life is more important than work I'd say, for most of us! But, not touring doesn't exclude the possibility of producing new music in the future.  I agree...  ...Big shocker, I know. LOL No, believe it or not, I'm not flipping out about what she said. I've pretty much moved beyond all that. Gone are the days where I wait desperately to see a post from her, as I used to do. I can say now that I don't mind it at all, I barely think of her these days, honestly. That said, I will always treasure my days of being a die-hard Hayley fan. I loved reading all about her concerts here on this forum, obsessing over her dresses, creating earring polls, being a forum moderator (on her old official forum), and all the other crazy, obsessed fan stuff. Then, to top it off, seeing her in concert and meeting her!  It is kind of sad for fans who never got a chance to see her, though. And it makes me more grateful than ever that I got to see her in Madison, Wisconsin. However, even without this statement from her, I no longer thought she had much, if any, touring ahead of her in her future. Her promise for more music earlier this year still baffles me a little, since we seem to be no closer than we were 10 years ago... yes, it's been 10 years since Hushabye!... But I was not expecting her to attempt it right after having a baby, and now I honestly don't know why she did. I don't think there's any point in her telling us there's new music coming until it's actually recorded, published, and ready to hit Itunes, Amazon, etc. Even if an album is FINALLY released, I just don't see her touring much. She could probably manage a NZ tour, and probably Asia, but not much else. She'd probably be lucky to get one gig in the UK these days. She clearly no longer has the desire, nor the man power, to manage a big album promotion and/or tour. Whether that is what she wants or not, I would say her touring days are over. |

I'm half-guessing/half-hoping that's actually dessert, and not the dinner; they almost seem to be shaped like cupcakes, but then again, other than the pansy/viola I see (an edible flower), I can't really identify anything else.  Looks more like art than food! |
