Hi everyone, Following Roger's departure from HWI (there is an update here), we have undertaken a review of the staff and management team and I am pleased to advise you of the following two changes: - Joe is promoted to become co-Administrator with me; and - Martin moves up from the Forum Support team to become a third Global Moderator. Both have been doing excellent work for HWI and I think are particularly suitable for their new roles, I know they will be of considerable help to the team as a whole and in Joe's case particularly, to the 'other' Administrator! Importantly, it also means that the total number of staff available to moderate will be the same as before, six, although we do now lose one from Forum Support. Many thanks to Joe and Martin for accepting your new and well-earned roles, to Joe for your advice and particular thanks to Richard for your help in making things quite a bit easier than they could have been. The staff and management team is now (alphabetically within each category): Administrators: Dave & Joe
Senior Moderator: Richard
Global Moderators: Caitlin, Martin & Steve H
Forum Support: Dori, Jillian, Northern Lights & Stuart H
And now, all that remains is for me to say: congratulations, Joe and Martin! Cheers, Dave

I wondered when the reorganisation was going to happen. There was clearly far too much work for a single administator and no cover for holidays etc. Although Dave has kept things going wery well since Roger's sudden departure, I am certain that he needs help and cover for when he is unavailable, otherwise the job would soon become too onerous. So thank you Dave for picking up the mantle and sorting it out.
And I would like to congratulate Joe and Martin and wish them all the best in their new roles. Two thoroughly well deserved appointments, and I would like to thank both of you for being willing to take on the extra work that this will entail. We all enjoy this forum, and it helps Hayley too, so it is good to know that its management is in good and sufficient hands.
Best Wishes to all on our Management Team.
Martin

Hi everyone First of all, many thanks Dave for the update on Roger, I am reassured to know that he is OK but obviously saddened that his decision really is final However, life moves on and I am therefore delighted to hear that Joe is to become co-administrator. Joe, I am so pleased for you, I know that you will make an excellent job of your new position, which you richly deserve. Very best of luck to you. Many congratulations also to Martin in your new role as Global Mod. Its reassuring to know that our forum is in good hands going forward. Best wishes Mark

Hello everyone I am also saddened to hear that Roger cannot be enticed back into the fold so I now hope that we will still cross paths at Hayley concerts along the way. I was delighted to read that Joe has accepted a role as administrator alongside Dave so my congratulations to you Joe, your promotion is richly deserved and I know you will keep the ship pointing in the right direction. Congratulations also to Martin for your rapid promotion up the ranks Finally, a very big "thank you to Dave for handling the formidable task of 'change over' over the last couple of weeks. It cannot have been easy. Very best wishes Grant

Congratulations Martin!
Well done on your promotion! You did well as a member of the Forum Support team and in particular your work on the recent Photo Contest.
Friends, thank you all so much for your kind messages. I was saddened at Roger's sudden quitting but I'm proud to stand alongside Dave. I'm very honored to carry on the wonderful work appointed to me.
Thanks again, Joe

Hi Joe, Congratulations on you appointment as administrator. I know it's a time consuming job; but I must confess I'm not sure of all the duties Dave and you have. Would you mind giving me a thumbnail sketch of you duties?

Hello Larry,
Being in the admin member group does give me extra capabilites. Mostly these deal with the look of the forum, whether it be the colors, board layout etc. Also I have experience in working with codes, which are "html add-ons" to enhance a forum. This can be anything from a placing a dividing bar, adding text boxes, web counters, clocks, etc. When I started my forum for The Cottars, I had to begin with literally a blank slate, as Keith Sheel did for this forum six years ago.
I liken it to buying a white car...you can have it painted, add fancy tires, a spoiler etc.
Note that the highest level is the true admin account (the one that created the forum).
