Hello all
Does this mean that the title of Hayley's Christmas album is going to be "Winter Magic"?? Well that won't work in New Zealand! :2fun:

I know! Certainly wouldn't work in Australia either... I have very distinct memories of my Aunt declaring at Christmas a few years ago that she was refusing to put dessert on the table until it got below 42 degrees Celsius!! An airconditioner has since been bought, so it's not quite so bad now! I kind of wish Christmas was in Winter ... I had a Christmas in July party last year and it was wonderful to be able to sit down and eat lunch without almost expiring from heat exhaustion! But you never know... it's currently meant to be winter and it was 31 degrees today... Not that I should wish for winter -- I've never seen snow, so I'm sure that I have no idea how bad it can be. Getting back on topic, perhaps they'll rename it 'Christmas Magic' or something a bit more suitable? A bit like the 'Treasure' vs 'Celtic Treasure' branding of Hayley's last album?

Hi Jillian, I can understand your frustration. I am not a big fan fan of snow and cold; but I can't imagine a warm Christmas climate. Although the climate may be cold Christmas puts a warm feeling in your heart.

I wouldn't trade a New Zealand Christmas for winter! BBQ, beach, sun (sometimes rain), I think its probably an entirely different experience!
However, I would really like to see a white Christmas in New York and in Europe someday!

But of course this is a UK Christmas Tour, and it will be winter here. And I'm sure several of the songs she sings will mention snow and stuff.
You folk down under must be used to this. Don't you get the same Christmas songs that we do, about snow and cold and dark nights. Or do songs like "In the Bleak Mid-winter" have different words where you are. I can imagine it!
"In the scorching summer, Hot dry winds made moan, Earth is dry and dusty Water all has gone!"

Yeah, and what about that one she sang once, called "Not on a Snowy Night" or something?

Martin Hi Martin and everyone,no not quite, the Christmas music ( to give it an across the board meaning) are usually the traditional carols etc with quite often something extra thrown in. What I personally like about Christmas here is the fact that we have a lot of outdoor carol concerts, and it is surprising the large numbers of people that turn up for these shows. They are proving to be very popular. With all due respects, you are welcome to your winters they are too darned cold for me. I don't think I could tolerate it now after fifty years down under. I enjoyed a portion of your summer this year back in July and I missed the coldest July apparently as I was told. But spring is just around the corner the daffodils are coming out everywhere and blossom on the trees,so thats a good sign, cheers all, Rodders

Well I frequently travel to the States for Christmas, so I get a taste of both. I really have not and cannot get used to NZ Christmas! It's just too weird!! But I like how the seasons work - you literally start a new school/work year in the New Year. That's always lovely.
Annnnnnnny way! It'll be interesting to see what the title of the new album will be, and whether they will consider the southern hemisphere's Christmas situation!

Being from Scotland but currently down under in Australia it'll certainly be quite a change for me experiencing Christmas during summer rather than winter! Mind you I can't remember having a White Christmas myself in Edinburgh. Anyway to get back to topic...it's great to hear that Hayley will be accompanied again by Raven for her winter tour. Should be good! David

Well, her tours are usually named for her albums, aren't they? Pure tour, Odyssey tour, River of Dreams tour... There never was any Treasure tour, was there? She still had concerts, but they weren't an official "tour". I guess it was due to the CW concerts, but that doesn't seem right. Well, the U.S. and Canada have Christmas in winter, so hopefully they'll be nice to us and give us a version, too.

Hello everyone As Martin has already posted, tickets now on sale plus the addition of Peterborough. There is a minor error in that Seetickets describes Tewkesbury as a Cathedral when it is in fact an Abbey. Tewkesbury in 2005 was only my second Hayley concert so I can't miss this one! There are no seat reservations on any that I have booked although several do offer restricted view seats at a lower price. From memory, these are seats at the sides of the Knave and many have no view at all. It's also a little annoying that each concert has to be booked individually which is quite time consuming. Best wishes Grant
