It does look turquoise on stage, but in the shots off stage it looks more like a cyan/sky blue colour.

I've just realized the dress is a bit similar to the background of this forum! At least in the lights where it looks greener.

Hi Libby & All, You may think I'm just trying to be funny but Hayley has a black dress on if the lights are out. She also has black hair & black eyes.(with the lights still out) When the lights are turned on (or the sun rises) then maybe that dress looks sky blue or darker blue. There was a time when my monitor was failing and it's colours were being very influenced by black. Not realising, I edited a lot of Hayley pics to what I thought the colours were...but I was wrong. Once I'd bought a new LCD monitor, everything looked perfect. But as I'd had so much trouble I then proceeded to read as much as I could about true colour & our eyes & cameras & monitors & printers. Well worth doing !!! That's probably enough about that now but it's a very 'relative' subject. Graeme

Hi Jeff.
Lovely report on Salisbury, thank you. You've set a good bar marker for the St Albans reports!

Hi All I was going to provide a full report of the concert but Jeff has done the job for me and very excellently as well. I will add a few snippets though just to add a bit more information on the overall evening. The total attendance was over 1400 which is perhaps one of the biggest audiences I have seen at a concert involving Hayley. Approximately only half of this number though had a direct view of the stage so video screens were provided. At the end of the concert it was interesting to hear many (and I do many) of the audience on leaving saying to one another what a beautiful voice Hayley has. Now, of course, we take that for granted on HWI so it is even more gratifying to hear it from members of the public who probably had only just seen Hayley perform live for the very first time. Now all we want is for them to go out and buy one of her albums! We had a chat with the piper in Paddy's photo at the end of the concert and he asked Eugene to take a photo of him so that he could show it to his family. He also said that it had been a great honour that evening to accompany Hayley on Amazing Grace. We knew exactly what he meant. Raven were excellent that evening and I thought that their performance of Gabriel's Oboe with string accompaniment from the Royal Artillery band was one of the highlights of the evening. The girls wore posh frocks for this formal evening and Rachel's was so long that Kirsty had to act as maid to hold up the dress's train on exiting the stage! Anyway, that's all folks. As I have said it was a very humbling and successful concert and Hayley provided her contribution in the most dignified manner for this very worthwhile cause. Martin

VNSOUTH.TV now have a video of the soundcheck for this concert entitled "Wiltshire pays tribute to our armed forces." It includes an interview with Hayley and Raven and I'm afraid I walk through the background but I swear it wasn't deliberate !! Lucky the TV guy gave me his card or I wouldn't have remembered the web address !! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif
