Thanks for that, Roger. This looks interesting but when I emailed the office it came back to me. Must be on their hols ! I'll try the phone number next week. Like a lot of religious venues, they probably have a "league of friends" who get priority booking so see you in the 5th row !!

At last the ABF has got back to me with further details of this event. Tickets can be booked on 0845 2419651 but the box office is only open Mon, Tues and Wed 10am-2pm. Unfortunately the online system which I don't like (salisburyfestival.co.uk) gives you no choice about where you sit but started at row S so it looks like as I predicted the mayor, archbishop,lord-lieutenant, army brass hats and their friends have bagged the best seats. Fair enough I suppose. Prices start at £10 (restricted view) and £28 for a reserved seat. For those of you who are feeling recession-proof a VIP package is available (champagne reception in the chapter house at 5pm) for £150 but the lady at ABF told me Hayley is not guaranteed to attend since she may be doing her soundcheck at that time. I would hazard a guess this means we are unlikely to get a free meet and greet afterwards since that would not be fair on those who have forked out £150 and Hayley has to be in St Albans the next day and I have to get the last train at 22.32pm. (Station is walking distance away across the river and luckily the concert starts at 7.30pm not 8pm ). I know Hayley will probably only sing 3 or 4 songs but Raven are there too and I think our forces need all the support they can get at the moment and as it's only 29 miles away I'm very much looking forward to hearing Hayley's voice echo around the highest cathedral in the land. I think my phone will be engaged 10am Monday !! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

A really enjoyable concert.
Just four songs from Hayley:
Hine e Hine
Ave Maria
Pokarekare Ana
Amazing Grace (with a piper).
Three numbers from Raven.
'Highland Cathedral' (with the piper and the Army Band) was 'out of this world'.

Hi Paddy,
I love the dress!
It sounds like a nice selection of classic Hayley songs were sung. Everyone seems to be in great spirits. What a great conclusion to a nice day!

I think that this dress may have been worn in Japan -- I noticed in some of the translations of the blog entries they talked about a blue dress - this might be it. Goodness me, we've been spoiled with interesting videos and photos over the last 2 days! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Ooh, such a pretty blue dress! I love the design of the blue jewels! Could this be one she got in the shops in Japan? It seems a bit chilly for that dress, but then, we rarely see Hayley perform in a very warm dress, anyway!

Hi Libby, I've always wondered how Hayley has managed to perform in UK Cathedrals in the dead of winter in little dresses! Perhaps she's just tougher than me! I suppose once she starts performing she forgets about the cold and when she's finished she goes straight backstage and dresses warmer.
