Very well done Grant - a supurb photo and as Richard says, one that shows a rare serious pose of her, which is why I think Hayley picked it.
Well done to all the other photographers and of course to martin for all you hard working and arrangements.

Being into photography myself (although I dont own an 'all singing all dancing' camera!), I just love the lighting and composition of the photo's.

Congratulations Grant. I has a sneaking feeling that that one would win, and I almost said so to you at Beaumanor, but thought I had better not. It has long been a favourite of mine, and I would have submitted it to the competition if I hadn't been beaten to it. So my first choice won, and Sue's first choice was runner up.
This competition had been a great success I think, so thank you Martin for organising it.

I must apologise for the fact that I can't remember who chose that particular picture Hi Grant, You're welcome; it was me.  As already done in Swansea, but better twice than once: Congratulations! I hope this Photography Competition becomes an annual tradition at HWI. I also hope we can tweak it slightly so that awards are given in the two separate categories that made up the nominations, namely the concert photos and the off-stage/casual pics. The very deserving winner of this first (and I hope not last) competition, Grant, took an incredible serene picture of Hayley in a non-performing moment. It was by far the best of the best. However, Hayley's career really lives onstage, so in future contests I'd like to see that important side of her given its own due.
