Amazon sales rank today: Pure up from 666 to 14[/color] Pure has has just shot up from position 666 at the start of today's CBS show, to 515 halfway though and as I write, it's now at 14 (fourteen).I think its' safe to say that Hayley has made her appearance. Yes!!!

Glad to see that public that saw Hayley on the CBS program this morning have started once again to locate Hayley's music. And so they should! Her appearance on the program was excellent; it made me very proud.

That's so awesome how she can do that! I think everyone that heard her quickly looked her up to purchase her cd.

Because Hayley is still mostly unknown in the US and her CD doesn't seem to be played much (if ever!) on radio or TV, each time she goes on a popular TV show, her sales rocket. After a few weeks, people forget about her again... until the next TV show. Obviously, we can see the quickest reaction at Amazon - where their sales are updated automatically every hour. Hopefully, Pure will soon get back into the main Billboard chart because of this! Incidentally, Hayley's imported CDs "Hayley Westenra" and "My Gift to you" are also in the Amazon chart at sales rank 11 and 32 today, so far. I can't wait for someone who watched Hayley today to report on what they saw!  |

Yeah, it was brilliant segment about Hayley and her career. The link to CBS News (in my post above) contains the exact same text from the program. I'm thinking that this interview took place back in April. When they mentioned Hayley's siblings, they said Isaac was aged 10 and Sophie was aged 13. But, when the closed captioning (teletext) came up and said that Sophie is 14, which is correct. It was also visually stunning; airing clips from the 'Pokarekare Ana' video, extracts from her concert with Russell Watson singing 'Wishing You Were Here Again' and of course Hayley looking so lovely during her interview. One clip showed Hayley and Sophie at big table. Hayley was signing a huge poster of the 'Pure' album cover whilst Sophie was very busy with her homework. The interview also showed Hayley's parents Jill and Gerald; and Hayley and her mum doing a bit of shopping.

... The link to CBS News (in my post above) contains the exact same text from the program. It wasn't "exact" as you state, but extremely close. For instance, the show used the word "figured" instead of "factored", and they did indeed get Isaac's age as 11. But the one difference that will stand out the most when you see the broadcast again is the part with Jill talking. The article is a bit off what she specifically said. |
