This is today's effort. Part of our garden after the greenhouse was demolished and taken away this moning. Not a pretty sight! Martin

Hi Martin, That looks like a major undertaking. I bet you will be glad when it is finished. I'm working on putting our house back together after two floods. New kitchen floor, new basement ceiling, walls, and carpet. The good news is that the finished basement will be converted from a Kid playroom to a Dad playroom. After a 20 year wait, I'm finally going to get my vintage tube stereo system hooked back up the way it was meant to be. I can't wait to hear how Hayley's music sounds on it. Bill

Hi Bill,
Well, my HiFi is at least 20 years old, actually I think more like 30. But being quality stuff it still sounds great, although I have replaced the speakers with more modern ones that sound much better. I love listening to Hayley on it. It's a pity you can't get her records on vinyl though!

Hi Martin, Sorry I pulled us "off-topic" here. Shortly after I first heard Hayley's voice for the first time I began searching for recordings on vinyl - none to be had. The only thing that could be better than hearing that clear, pure voice recorded on vinyl would be to hear it in person. Bill

Yes, Bill, you are right! I have had the privilege, and privilege it is, of hearing Hayley live a number of times over more than five years. You are always aware that it is something special. That's why I try to share the experience with others through photos, reviews and videos. And I know I am not the only one who feels like that!
Well, I did mention photos...trying to not get too far OT.

I was such a lovely hot day in Christchurch today, 22C or 72F, that I went to the seaside suburb of Sumner and walked the Scarborough Heads walking track. Suburb of Sumner - lovely on a hot day Scarborough Head Banks Peninsula - Godley Head is where there are old WW2 gun emplacements

Hi Ben I've sent you a 'holding' reply to your PM. Your room looks splendid - it would be useful to know where you are based. Best wishes Grant

Wow, sweet uni digs! I had a really nice room in my second year at college.. but the first year room was just terrible! I suppose we've all been there done that with dodgy accomodation and then you really appreciate the good stuff when you get it. En Suites are awesome -- it means you don't have to share the horrendous communal showers with everyone. :/

Wow Ben, nice room! I'm jealous! I should post pictures of mine...when I tidy it up a bit . And you are super lucky to have en suite - I've got the lovely communal showers to share. Granted I live in an all girls residence hall (sorority housing) so it's not too terribly dirty. <3 Caitlin

Hi Ben You students certainly do live a life of luxury! Seriously though, I know such accommodation doesn't come cheap having put my son through Uni recently. Good luck with your studies and ENJOY it. Best wishes Martin

Hello Ben, Great looking place! It doesn't look anything like my first college place - which is a good thing. I hope you have a great time. Bill
