Hi Dave,
Great photo. I can quite believe it took a long time to get that right!

I vaguely remember promising somewhere to uplaod some photos of Scara Brae, which is the remains of a 5000 year old village in Orkney. So here goes. Martin D

They have even built a modern mock up, so that we can know what it must have been like inside a house of that vintage. Martin D

On Sunday I took half a day off work so I could do some train spotting lol. This is the Steam train Ka942 as it was heading back to Christchurch from a day trip to Arthur's Pass. I also took a video of it. The first shot is the train heading towards Darfield followed by it powering out of Darfield. Then going through West Melton with the Warning signals going at the crossing. Lastly leaving Rolleston Station. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMDdlGqwW-c&list=UU9OnVSQAA_XFVaqJ3rOIZTw&index=1&feature=plcp

OK, I've just uploaded a number of photos, many of trains. But to start off with, does anyone know where this is? I'm sure Hayley does! Martin D

While we were there we did the tramway to the top of the Great Orme. Nice pics Martin but, just to clarify, the Great Orme system is a funicular, not a tramway i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSee you on Friday. By the way. If you're looking for somewhere to eat, there is an OK Diner on the westbound A55 just before you turn off for the venue. Paddy an I should be there between 3.30 and 4pm Best wishes Grant

Hello Grant and Martin D! The cars used to have a pole in contact with an overhead wire, just like trams, but it was only a communication link. Now they use mobile phones. Richard

Richard Quite correct Richard! That's what confused the uninitiated who thought the pole was picking up traction current Wonder what they thought the cable between the tracks was for! Best wishes Grant

I think the owners would disagree with you Grant, if you read what is emblazoned on the sides of the cars and in all their publicity. greatormetramway.co.uk/The cars may be cable hauled but it is most definitely a tramway.
