"I'm Elliot Kane and I've listened to Hayley for..." Nah. Bit too 'Alcoholics Anonymous' that, isn't it? 
I listen to a ton of music in many genres, from Heavy Metal to Operetta to Classical. It's easier just to say I do NOT like Rap or most R&B and leave it at that. Even Country is starting to win me over, for which you can blame the unbelievably talented Taylor Swift. I sure do!
I first discovered Hayley a few years ago. I'd heard of her of course, but only really decided to check her out when a relative of mine who never talks about music at all mentioned Hayley and asked if I was a fan. In effect, a recommendation from someone with no interest. Of course, I had to find out what the fuss was about.
Of course, you all know what the fuss was about. Hayley has the world's best female voice. I've been a fan ever since.
On the non-musical side, I have my own forum, The Chaos Cascade, and my own MySpace which pretty much amounts to 'music central'. Any forum I'm a member of, I use the same name & the same avatar, so I'm easy to spot. My MySpace has a different avatar, but that's a long story and I already waffle far too much
I only join forums that have a good community feel. They're rarer than gold dust, but I'm impressed by you guys & gals! So I'm here.
And that's about that, really, in far more detail than you care about, I'm sure
