Hey everyone! I'm a new member on here - a 21 year old guy from Auckland, New Zealand. I have been exposed to Hayley's music for at least half of my life (shes well promoted here , but have only recently truly appreciated it (my musical tastes have matured lol). She makes me incredibly proud to be a New Zealander, and I look forward to getting to know some of her fans on here!

Hi Jono and welcome to the forum from a very wet Central England. Very happy to hear that your changing musical tastes have allowed you to appreciate Hayley you won't regret it I'm sure! This is certainly the place to keep in touch with what Hayley is doing - we expect her to be touring New Zealand in September so hopefully you will have an opportunity to see her perform and hopefully meet her. Many members here are desperate for such an opportunity so don't miss out!! In the mean time, look around the site and enjoy what it has to offer. It's vast so if you get lost just ask, we're a friendly crowd and will be happy to help you find your way around. I look forward to reading your future posts. Best wishes Grant

Hi Jono,
Welcome to the forum! I am also living in Auckland, New Zealand (though I am from the United States). Hayley DOES make NZ very proud and we are very lucky; we get to see her in concert and at signings more often because it's her country!
I hope you enjoy our big HWI family!

Yes, absolutely I've met her!. Six times last year, at five different concerts. But some others here have met her very many more times. It is all in the concert threads on this site, The first time for me was at Buxton Opera House last year, when we had a "party" with her to celebrate her 21st birthday. That was a special night that I will remember forever. It is where the photo I use for my avatar was taken. We even got to sing to her (happy birthday). She is absolutely lovely, and I hope you too get to meet her someday.

Wow that's awesome. If you don't mind me asking, how does one meet Hayley Westenra? Hi Jono & welcome to the forum. After one of Hayley's shows, the expectation is that a table will be set up somewhere & room enough to fit a queue. Hayley will be sat at that table with a minder next to her and a pen in her hand. Quite often CD's will be on sale for people to purchase & her to sign. People also bring things for her to sign....in my case once in Kerikeri last year a tui bird on a card. She is very patient & more than willing for pics to be taken with her & you. She'll also chat freely but is conscious of others behind you needing attention too. If you aim at last in the queue you may have a little more time with her. Also, if there is no signing taking place you can wait outside the stage door. All the above may vanish if she has to hurry away somewhere after a show. Throwing yourself on the floor in front of her and asking her to marry you will result in unpredictable behaviour from her minder. Hope that helps, Graeme

Cheers for the welcome msgs and tips! Question: Are there any Polls on this forum for the Age and Location of members? Hi Jono, That's a very good question! Hm, would anybody like to start that? I think that's a really good idea. Actually, why don't I open an whole new thread for people to tell us where they live and how old they are. Dori
