This girl is only 14 years old and is on her way to making her debut album. She has been hailed as the new Katherine Jenkins. She has already appeared at some large sporting events and is due to release an album at the end of the year. Annelies is a cross between Katherine Jenkins and Enya. There will be an eclectic mix of tracks on the album. One of the tracks was written by the hugely talented Steve Balsamo of Jesus Christ Superstar fame. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vYjLB6mPAQWatch this space.

Hey guys, Update on Annelies: she's got four major record labels chasing her tails: Universal, EMI, Warner and Sony. To find out why, listen to her new teaser selection on her website (will play automatically) www.anneliesmusic.com/

It's a long time since anyone posted in this thread. But Anneleies (whi incidentally is a member of this forum) has not been idle. You can catch up with her on her website. www.anneliesmusic.com/Right now she needs votes. She is in second position on the Artistsignal website (Rebecca Newman is no 1). Those are the two artists that I have been voting for (Hayley is not there, and not sure if it is possible to suggest additions). But annelies is only hanging onto second place by the skin of her teeth, in fact she lost it for a short time today. If you like Annelies and want to support her, you can do so at artistsignal.com/anneliesmusic#_=_You have to register first, but once you have you can vote every hour. Have fun. Martin D

I think the site is for "Emerging Artists", so Hayley probably wouldn't qualify. You need a facebook account to sign up, with at least 30 people on your friends list.

Well, I am rather taken with Annelies. I think she s worth supporting. Two brits as the top two artists. Both fine singers too. Keep working on it guys.

Annelies appeared on The Voice last night and I thought it was a crying shame that none of the judges turned for her, although Tom Jones later said he should have done ! She was at least as good as the two other classical-crossover acts that have gone through but I do feel it is an advantage to be in the early shows, before the judges' teams are almost full up. Last night was the last of the blind auditions before the "Battle rounds" commence next week. See what you think: bbc.in/1zXYYTe

As I suspected, we had two threads for Annelies so I've merged them into one. Richard

See what you think: bbc.in/1zXYYTeI watched this last night and just wondered, Annelies was quite exceptional and the judges didn't turn. Did they honestly think that with a handful of singers left to perform that something better was going to come along, really. Considering some of the mediocre performers who were selected I am once again FLABBERGASTED. There were several great singers that were ignored by the judges, quite heartbreaking to watch..
