Well done Luton Town, who despite being bottom of League Two and almost certain to be relegated from the Football League at the end of the season, have won the Johnsons Paint Trophy, beating Scunthorpe United, who are a very good League One side, who could still be promoted at the end of the season, at Wembley today. Why are we interested. Well, I understand that Hayley once said that Luton was the team she supported, although this probably has a lot todo with Steve Abbott's support of Luton Town. I can't imagine that Hayley knows much about English football. Luton owe their precarious position to a 30 point deduction made at the beginning of the season for various financial irregularities and at one point being in administration, by the Football Association. Nothing like kicking a club when it it is struggling! Strangely enough, I spent last night at Luton Airport, and was talking about this situation with one of their engineers. I feel that the FA's decision was very harsh, and said I hoped they would win today. And I am delighted that they did!

HI Martin, Yes, well done Luton! I had a look at the BBC Sport website for more info. I'll want to check FOX Soccer Channel here for any replays. Cheers, Joe

Hello Martin! I think the connection with Hayley is tenuous to the extreme, so I've moved this thread to Off-Topic. Richard

Yes, thanks Richard. On reflection, that was the wrong place for this thread.
