I don't usually get involved in these things. I voted for 2 & 5, but I also like 13. Just a gut feeling.

The short pink one is nice, but I don't like the way it's shorter in the middle of the skirt; it looks too much like it's hitched up. A hitched-up skirt is very tacky. I think it's more the jagged 'pixie' effect of the hemline than anything else in this dress. Here's a photo of the back and a photo of a different model wearing it. The hemline seems to go up and down all around it. By the way, the success of this dress in the poll does prove a rather interesting point. You can currently buy this dress on sale for $97 US dollars! It was the cheapie I threw in on a whim! On the other hand, I can only imagine that the rest of them would cost thousands. Fancy that!

Now that is interesting, Jillian! I voted for dress No.4 because it looks youthful, and Hayley has worn similar material in the past. It would definitely be a great party dress for her. Some of the other dresses would probably look better on an older woman, particularly No.13, and No.3 reminds me of Cher. Richard

Ha, ha -- Yes I do get the association to Cher! I really like that dress and I was interested in it because it seems to offer some sort of protection from the elements (i.e. cold) (unlike so many other dresses). That's a big thing for me coming from Queensland, Australia, where people just can't comprehend the idea of heating in winter. There's never any heating and never anywhere to put a jacket... I do remember a German exchange student at my school in Toowoomba (an hour and a half west of Brisbane up on the Great Dividing Range) saying that she'd never been as cold anywhere as she'd been at that school! My school (like my father, incidentally) didn't believe in heating or shutting doors or windows... It's sort of like when it rains here -- everyone freaks out and doesn't know what to do... Anyway... Miley Cyrus recently wore a dress by the same designer (Zuhair Murad) that had quite a similar bodice and sleeves (but in more subtle colouring than the bold black and white of #3) and star detailing: She also wore a Zuhair Murad dress to the 2009 Oscars: This dress apparently weighed 12 pounds and was studded with 10,000 Swarovski crystals! I read that Miley joked that it felt as though the dress weighed more than she did! I had some dresses which I shortlisted for this poll, but didn't use, so here they are (click on thumbnails for a bigger image). If anyone else has some ideas for what they think would be nice, feel free to post some pictures! I'd love to somebody else's ideas.

Hi Jillian I think it's more the jagged 'pixie' effect of the hemline than anything else in this dress. Here's a photo of the back and a photo of a different model wearing it. The hemline seems to go up and down all around it. It was the 'pixie' effect that attracted me to it in the first place, plus the fact that the bodice design is similar to some dresses in Hayley's wardrobe currently. I think Hayley would get quite a kick from turning up to a premier event looking fabulous in a $97 dress when everyone elses cost thousands i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Press might see it differently though! Hi Jillian There should have been A Green & Black Dress amongst the choices as that would have been a certain favourite for Hayley. Martin

You could even do your hair to match: But the big problem is that you might just be strolling down the red carpet and someone rushes up to you and does this: These are from the Chocolate Fashion Show. Here's a link to their website: www.chocolateshow.com/index.php?Vopen=1I wonder how long the models were able to wear them before they melted (or were attacked by hungry guests?) i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hello Jillian! I think I would have voted for the orange dress if you'd included it in the poll. After seeing those chocolate dresses I now have a sudden craving for Jaffa Cakes! Richard

I voted for Number 1. It is very stylish and feminine. I also would have voted for the orange dress, if it was a poll option.
It will be very interesting if Hayley chose to wear one of these dresses. However, Hayley will probably find a dress that will be far better than any of these. She has such good taste!

None of the dresses excite me; but I guess I would choose number 8 or number 10. But I really like Jillians black and gold short dress.

I like the blue one and the orange one best out of the other set you just posted. The blue one actually looks like the pink one in #1, but much, much prettier. It's a much better color for Hayley than that dull pink.

Hi All & Jillian.
Reason being that Hayley's very neat stance would be visible with these 2 & also the shoes & handbags that she'd very capably choose to match the dresses would be completing the picture.Graeme Hayley could wear these shoes and be a songbird from head to toe: But seeing as they retail for 30 thousand pounds ... maybe not... In case you're wondering how a pair of shoes could possibly cost so much, here's a description of them: Hmmmm.... wait... would I be right in interpreting that they've stuck actual real birds to those shoes?? That's a little bit creepy... Update: Yes, I read a different article which referred to them as 'The Dead Bird Shoes" -- so yes, those birds are ridgy-didge (Australian slang for genuine, by the way). An online commentator had this to say about them: True. But there must be a market for that sort of thing: www.lovedtodeath.net/But they do look lovely being modelled in this Marie Antoinette themed shoot (I'd imagine that she would have owned these shoes if they existed back then! ) (click for larger image): projectrungay.blogspot.com/2009/04/emily-blunt-in-couture-for-vanity-fair.html

Hi Jillian Hmmmm.... wait... would I be right in interpreting that they've stuck actual real birds to those shoes?? That's a little bit creepy... It sure is creepy, but that's how I would interpret the description Personally, I think they are hideous and I could never see Hayley wearing anything so outlandish. Best wishes Grant
