In the midst of Hayley's highly successful Japanese tour the Tokyo Daily has reported that negotiations are at an advanced stage for an autumn tour with US superstar Barbara Streisand. A spokesman said:"This is a dream tour for Hayley. She's long wanted to perform with Ms Streisand who she's admired from an early age."
Due to the weakness of sterling, only one concert will take place in London and at present the plans are to play mainly European capitals such as Brussels, Paris, Rome and Madrid but fans will recall the last time Ms Streisand toured Europe ticket prices started at an eye-watering 500 euros and VIP packages were available for fans who wanted a "meet and greet." This time it is rumoured top seats will cost even more since it is believed the American star has lost a considerable sum of money in a share selling scandal. It appears her financial advisor has made off with her portfolio.
This has not gone down well with cash-strapped fans. A spokesman for long-standing fansite HWI commented: " There is a common misconception that many of Hayley's fans are wealthy pensioners but this is simply not the case. Some of our members are as young as 40 or even 30. I suppose we will find the money from somewhere," he sighed as he joined the queue at the post office.
Others were less enthusiastic. One fan remarked: "I'll need a second mortgage to see that tour. Why bother when I can see Faryl for a fiver ?!"
Credit crunch or not, at least fans will have plenty of time to save up. The tour is not until November while today is only the beginning of April.

Look at Hayley and all her collaborations! What a busy girl!! Did you hear about this one too? No Halo for Hayley As She Readies To Rock n RollDaily Mail Wednesday, 1 April 2009 Karen Dixon FORMER good girl classical singer Hayley Westenra has tired of concert halls, arias and singing like an angel. Instead, she's going to put all those guitar lessons to good use - she's been chosen as new the Rolling Stone's guitarist following the shock retirement of Ronnie Wood last week. After Ronnie Wood decided that he preferred the company of his Russian bombshell girlfriend to life on the road, the band was thrown into chaos. Following a panicked search, the band settled on Westenra. "It was the logical choice", said lead singer Mick Jagger. "You've got to admit, we're not getting any younger or any more beautiful. Hayley's pretty enough to compensate for both Keith and I, so we can worry less about that now and get back to what really matters - the parties". Hayley admits that while the change of pace will require some getting used to, her bandmates are coming to her aid. "We had an acclimatisation session yesterday, which was really helpful. We spent from midday to close at the front bar of the Bull Pub with the airconditioning turned off and I now feel much more prepared for life as a rock and roller". As for style, you won't see any long, sequined gowns on stage this summer. "I've been taking fashion tips from Keith", says Hayley. "It's amazing -- I never knew you could do so much with strips of cloth and eye-liner". Mick Jagger says that fans can expect to hear all of the Stones' biggest hits on their new tour. He said he was particularly excited about the band's reworking of 'Gimme Shelter' saying, "Hayley really wails, expect glasses to shatter". Tickets go on sale for the Rolling Stones' summer tour next Friday through Ticketec. -------- Ha, ha -- Good work Jeff. You got me very excited initially until I realised what tricks you were up to! Ha, ha! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif And joke as I might, I do actually think that Hayley could do a mean rendition of the female part of 'Gimme Shelter'.

Hello Jillian! That story could be half true. I remember Jack Benny once said the Rolling Stones all look like Hayley Mills! Richard

Gosh Jeff, you nearly had me there!
That would have been a must at any affordable price, since Sue is a big fan of Streisand!

Nice try, but you didn't fool me. The proper spelling of her name is "Barbra" -- so that kinda was a huge tip-off.

I am inclined to turn what I originally wrote into a joke response but it is after the midday cut-off date. Interesting, it shows how much I trust this site for information--something we need to bear in mind when we 'joke around'.
However, may I suggest Richard that it needed moving 'bang on midday British Summer Time'?
It is a good caution to me in showing that I am perhaps not as 'on the ball' with a questioning attitude as I should be

For Hayley I am of course absolutely delighted. This can only be construed as a superb compliment to her and can only raise her standing. What ever she gets out of it moneywise the accolades can only be ginormous and that is what counts in terms of reputation. Nice to see HWI being quoted BUT come on, we have much younger members than 30, do we not? My personal evaluation of the euro on any realistic scale is 2 to the pound, as it should be with the US dollar, so at £250 it is pushing things. I would suggest that Hayley would not be able to be available as usual as it would be seen as a breach of the meet and greet terms. While a European tour opens up options for many other people, that she should tour US with Streisand should give Hayley an magnificent fillip there and at the right time. The freshness of the Faryl sensation will have settled (she's launching her US CD 5th May in Los angeles and New York) and Katherine Jenkins may well be fading back from her launches. Dave, any comment? Peter S. Hi Peter, April 1st i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I seem to remember you were 'had' last year as well Best Wishes, Graham

This threads a joke right? You almost had me believing! Iam just going to take a valium and get back to my revision Oh Okay, I 'got caught' on this one, as it is now Thursday 2nd (I wasn't on before midday on the first so I don't count that as "I got caught!". However the Rolling Stones was obviously nonsense, so I realised someone was being utterly mad. Peter S.
