Hayley has actually changed my life (for the better). I used to be an impatient so and so especially in peak hour traffic, would curse the guy in front the guy behind and even the guy beside me, NOW....if I’m in peak hour, or on an expressway I just put on one of Hayley’s CD’s and let the world take care of itself, I let people in and even wave to them ( it’s really true), because the calming effect of her magnificent angelic voice just captivates me, If I can’t sleep due to a touch of insomnia, Yep.... I wack on a Hayley CD and let an Angel sing me a lullaby. Why her voice affects me this way, I HAVE NO IDEA....having been an Elvis and Dean Martin fan for most of my life. I have never seen her in concert and probably never will ( I can dream though) and will keep trying to get a DVD of her, The only one I have is Celtic women and you don’t get to see enough of Hayley in that. Her voice has touched me in an extraordinary way that I simply cannot explain. Alan.

Hi,
I'm a fairly new Hayley fan and I will admit that I've become obsessed with Hayley, in a healthy way. I have most of her CD's now(very recently), still need the new HSJS and I don't have the first(rare) CD. This is about 100 songs that I have ripped to 320 kbps mp3 for my portable players...Hayley has her very own playlist. I keep one of my iPod shuffles synced with Hayley.
As most fans will agree, her voice has a certain magical quality. I'm sure we all have those favorite songs that bring special emotions. I just like to listen to my collection in shuffle mode, sit back and enjoy.
Recently I've been downloading many video clips, mostly from Youtube and just realized that I've collected over 50. I've converted a dozen favorites to MPEG-4 to play on my iPods so I can take her anywhere!
So, the question is- how has Hayley changed your life?
She has allowed me to appreciate some of the standard classical songs that I had not previously been familiar with or had been able to enjoy by other artists, even though I do have quite a bit of classical music in my collection. I've been comparing Hayley to many of the other female singers that are popular in this genre and none have come even close for me...Hayley stands in a league of her own for me.

I can understand what you mean alan, I never listen to hayley in the car but it is nice to hear something like her songs. It almost makes you forget about everything. Its not the songs IMO its her voice. If I ever had a long drive everyday I would have hayley along with.

Alan I have this one sorted, I buy two or more copies of everything Hayley releases, I don't even remove the cellophane from the second copy and I pop it in a crate with all the other unopened ones. Maybe I should move them out of the house Just in case and keep a hitman on speed dial

I just rip them all onto my PC. My wife refuses to have anything to do with computers, so they are safe there!

As I peruse the HWI posts daily I see many photos of Hayley in many different countries. I see pictures in concerts, pictures in award shows, pictures doing charitable work, pictures in beautiful gowns, etc. etc. Hayley is a true International star in many parts of the world. However when I see Hayley at a stage door she is just an unassuming gorgeous young lady that will take the time to chat. When she began to remember my name I was swept away. What a wonderful person she is. What she has shown me is that there are still entertainers that truly care for their image and their fans. Hayley is tops in my book and I think she will reach world wide stardom some day.

I just encountered Jono's comments about being an "obsessed" fan in the "Tweeter Wall of Fame" thread and that reminded me to come back to this thread to share my thoughts. I think that my "Hayley" experience will not be dramatically different from others but feel the need to write it down.
Hayley has had a dramatic effect on my life. I first became aware of her career less than a year ago. My first exposure being with "Dark Waltz". Hearing the clear pure tone of her voice told me that I had discovered something very rare and precious. As with all things rare and precious there is a strong need for it be protected from loss or corruption. I quickly discovered that the "Dark Waltz" recording was made years ago when Hayley was only 15 years old. Knowing that many young artists are easily influenced in a way that can damage or destroy them, I was desperate to find out what had happened to Hayley since the "Pure" album was recorded. My first exploration into Hayley's career took me to events that had occurred prior to the recording of "Pure" and I thought that something must have happened to her. There would never be any more Hayley music beyond what already existed. I was devastated!
It was not until I found this forum did that feeling of loss begin to dissipate. Yes, her career continued and her talent continued to thrive and grow. I didn't think it possible but her voice had become stronger and even more beautiful.
Initially I felt that Hayley's impact on me would be temporary. I have had interests in other artists and, although I still enjoy their music, I don't keep track of their careers. This is different and I'm not completely sure I understand why. I have not met Hayley and any conclusion I make about her, beyond her music, is based upon what I have read from those who have met her. What I have read tells me that not only is her talent rare and precious but so is the person behind the talent. Often, the more you know about an artist the less respect you have for them and that, for me at least, has an impact on how you view their music. In Hayley's case, it appears that her spirit is perfectly in sync with her incredible talent. She is truly a rare and precious individual.
A day without hearing some of Hayley's music is a day that is lost to me. So I guess you can say I have been "Hayleywowed" from afar. As near as I can tell, the "Hayleywow" potion is permanent and there is nothing you can do about it. Not that you would want to do anything about it. She attracts you with her voice, hooks you with her smile, and "closes the deal" with her heart. How diabolical is that!!

Hi Bill,
I don't think it is diabolical at all. It is the other side she is on. I think she has a mission from God. That is what makes her so powerful, and you will find that there are a lot of Christians among her fans, myself included. For me, her voice seems to open a window into heaven. Hayley is an out and out spiritual powerhouse, and that is what blows us away. I'm going to say something contoversial here that might upset some people, and I wouldn't blame the mods if they deleted it. . No, I've changed my mind, I won't say it. But Hayley for sure is a very special person, and I am sure is not the least in God's kingdom. She has a lot in common with someone else who changed my life.

Such a person does not exist by some random accident of nature. She is an incredible person and there is a good reason why. Bill

diabolical
* Function: adjective * Etymology: Middle English deabolik, from Middle French diabolique, from Late Latin diabolicus, from diabolus * Date: 14th century
: of, relating to, or characteristic of the devil : devilish <a diabolical plot>
a much misused word, often now used to refer to bad workmanship.
I understood Bill's tounge in cheek use of the word when I read it.
But I had to check it when I read your post, Martin,
Some companies are using the slogans Devilishly Good or Hot to promote products.
wicked is now being used to indicate something is good or brilliant by younger generations.
every generation changes the use of various words, one might think that is cool.
Random is a word that is undergoing a change of use by many people
