...but her performance is far much better than many of we HongKongers!!! Absolutely right - I don't even dare to speak Putonghua (although I had taken a course before) because I would simply embarrass myself trying to do so. Once again, Hayley's superb rendition of 'The Moon Represents My Heart' has shown us her natural talent in music - as well as in language, maybe. Tin

Meanwhile, we have now had record numbers of views of our YouTube videos from: Taiwan (by a mile), New Zealand, United States, UK, Australia, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Africa (as a whole) Philippines and several other Countries. Remarkably, Taiwan more than doubled our previous record daily views from any one country and is still top of the list, with a population of only 23 million, more than a week after the concert. Hayley has had quite an impact over there! HWIvid World Games Playlist
Cheers, Dave Sorry to harp on about this folks but today, HWI's YT viewing records have been demolished again, with 3,000 views in one day, half of them from Taiwan. And New Zealand has shot up from its previous record of 80 views (yesterday's figure) to an astonishing 300 today... it's almost as if Hayley has gone viral (in her own modest way, of course!). I am very surprised by this and hey, it's quite exciting! Cheers, Dave

Good Job, Hayley!! Now if we can just get the people in the USA to wake up. Bill

WOW, that is fantastic!. Things are starting to happen as i always knew they would, from the first few seconds of hearing Hayley's voice. You know, I'm actaully glad that she left us early at Beaumanor, without the customary chat, to go to Taiwan. This has done wonders for her career I'm sure.

Hi Martin, you're right. I've always maintained that all Hayley needs is an opportunity to shine! This proves our point perfectly! These things don't happen overnight -- obviously, Hayley has spent many years in Asia slowly building herself up to receiving the invitation to sing, but it's wonderful to see the fruits of all her hard work. Hi Dave, no, by all means continue harping! :rollin I love nothing more to hear of Hayley's successes! Hopefully there's a scheme in the pipeline to strike while the iron is hot and make sure that all this lovely attention doesn't go to waste! Fingers crossed that this may eventually turn out to be the turning point in Hayley's career that we've always hoped for. If Hayley has the repuation and security blanket of high popularity in Asia, it will be very beneficial to her career in the rest of the world. By the way, I mentioned this in the Photography Poll Thread, but I thought I'd mention it here, too. To celebrate both Hayley's current achievement and the amazing photographic contributions of our members, I set the nominations for the photo poll (and a few extras) to the audio of Nada Sou Sou. I thought it would be a shame for those great images to be forgotten about and Nada Sou Sou is my favourite at the moment!! I hadn't heard it until these videos! www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bpCgUcXCJI

Hi Jillian and Martin, I sure hope this is the turning point you mentioned. If it is the world owes Taiwan a lot.
I can't wait until the album is made and released.

Hi, Everyone
I, like everyone, admire Hayley's personality, and her ability to overcome the worst difficult situation while in her performance. One of the example was on her duet with Russell Watson of the song, "The Player", in the Kaohsiung World Games that she maintained to overcome the difficulty from mistakes caused by the backing musicians . And another example was on the her duet with Andrea Bocelli of the song, "Time To Say Good Bye", in the ice skating show in 1995 where she overcome her distressed situation and finished the song. Not easy for a teenager. The latter was also the reason why I really admired and followed her since then for her career development. Maybe one of the reasons why most of the young singers could not stay on.
Her performance at the Kaohsiung World Games was so excellent that it's just like an American football game in which there was a touch down in the end zone, just a perfect goal of completeness.
I remember someone in the forum said, “Hayley won't do anything without good reason.” And, “She should deserve a better recognize on her talent and success for her working hard.” I believe that this is quite true.
Although it is getting dimmer and dimmer of the chance to see her live on stage in the United States, I really hope that she will have a better singing career and success in other parts of this world. At least, I still can listen her CDs and DVDs.
This forum is great to support Hayley's career. But, I really feel uncomfortably post on this forum again, and will close my account after this post. Thanks Dave and other for the excellent video clips. So long!!
Fred

Hello everyone
Just thought I should let our Taiwanese friends know that I spoke briefly to Hayley in Southend last night about the very favourable comments made on the forum about her performance of "The Moon Represents My Heart" in Mandarin.
Hayley was delighted to hear this and that her performance had been so well received.
Best wishes Grant

That is the second time today I've been told that Hayley was to be visiting NZ next week! It is implied at the end of the "Close up" interview, and another freind in NZ who I met through another forum not connected with Hayley (but knows that I am a fan) also mentioned this in an email today that she was about to visit NZ. Visiting NZ for a week (since she peforms in the UK on Sunday and then the following Saturday) is not on surely!

The interviewer says "We've placed somes calls and Hayley will be with us on Monday" I read that as saying they will be airing the 'phone interview on Monday. Best wishes Grant

Yes, Grant, I think you must be right. Bearing in mind the time diference half of Monday will already be gone inNZ by the time she finishes at Swansea, then she would have to get home and to the airport followed by a 27 hour flight. Not possible is it! And perhaps my friend also saw and misinterpreted that "close up" interview, since he mentioned the performance in Mandarin.
