Andrew, Empire of the Sun is a classic! I remember watching it when I was in high school english class 6-7 years ago. Now that you mention it, no wonder the song sounds so familiar (yet I couldn't recall the name)  Allen Hi Allen, that's some co-incidence... I read 'Empire of the Sun' in high school too (15 years ago!) Would you like a Hershey bar or some tins of condensed milk from the survival pack which has just landed on a parachute at my feet? Maybe you'd prefer a sweet potato? (Sorry to anybody who doesn't follow- I'm referring to a clip in the film!) The film always makes me feel rather nostalgic about that time (who'd wish they were back at school again? I wouldn't really, but in those days we didn't know the meaning of the word responsibilities!) Heh! Heh!  Andrew |
