Thanks Kimberly! Here's the relevant extract from the press release (full details of dates ete., will be released today): "Celebrate Oliver
Shane Richie hosts Celebrate Oliver, a spectacular show celebrating popular and best- loved musicals of all time. A selection of the nation’s favourite actors and musical stars perform their own interpretations of some of most recognisable history.
Matthew Kelly, Suranne Jones, Amy Nuttall, Hayley Westenra just a few of the performers who will pay homage to the musical, such as Consider Yourself, As Long As He Needs Me and Who The original Fagin, the legendary Ron Moody, dons his fingerless to give his definitive rendition of Reviewing The Situation, performs his own special version of Fagin’s signature tune, Pocket Or Two.
Telling the story of how a Charles Dickens tale became a timeless masterpiece, actors from the original film version of Oliver, (Oliver), Jack Wild (Artful Dodger), Shani Wallace (Nancy) talk about their roles in the show’s history and what Oliver Bringing Oliver up to date, rising young stars Joseph McManners become Oliver and the Artful Dodger for the evening."I also found this mentioned in a "musicals" message board (obviously unconfirmed): "Yippee! Just got my tickets this morning for 'Celebrate Oliver' The Musical starring Shane Richie and many others at the BBC on November 27th, Cant wait!" (which is next Sunday.) I notice that there is a gap in Hayley's tour schedule this week (after Monday)... Speculation, speculation... Cheers, Dave

BBC 1 ehh . Well, then I will be able to supply the digital version myself. Still, it won't hurt if others record it as a back-up ... Cheers, Gerrit

When I asked Hayley's Manager Steve about this recently, he said Hayley is in it but she wouldn't be singing solo. We shall have to wait and see exactly who Hayley duets or trios with!

Well, it turned out to be more than a trio The trio of course was there (The Choirboys), but also Joseph McManners, Aled Jones and Amy Nuttall - in what I think was the highlight of the show: Who Will Buy (12.3 MB) Hmmm - as the Choirboys are in this one, I won't be adding it to my index page .... I agree that "Who will Buy" was the highlight of the show and it's really nice to see Hayley getting involved in shows like this, the Abba tribute etc. Dave

Hi Dave,
Well, that's not a very good day to run up a flu - I hope she recovers soon.
I was out all day, visiting family - but I had set my recorder before leaving. I actually returned home a few minutes befor this particular song started, so I could even watch it as it was being broadcast.
One thing I really liked about the song is that each voice remained distinctly identifiable throughout.

Thanks very much for yet another super video, Gerrit.
'Who Will Buy' certainly is an amazing song. So many parts all coming together so well and magnificently performed by everyone. Brilliant!

Hello everybody! I watched the whole of "Celebrate Oliver!" last night, and I thought it was a very entertaining show. Hayley's performance was certainly one of the highlights, but all the songs and performers were wonderful. If the BBC release the show as a DVD I will definitely buy it. I would certainly like to see Hayley take part in more shows like this. She is so versatile, TV producers will love her! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifDave, I hope your daughter soon feels better. Happy New Year everybody! Richard

Hi Kimberly,
I have most of it on tape still - personally this type of music isn't really my favourite - there's a solo by Joseph McManners which I think is nice. The point is, currently there's so much of Hayley and Katherine on British TV, there's hardly time to digitise it all (and I have another hour long program from Dutch TV featuring Janine Jansen to do as well, plus I am hoping to receive new Yulia Townsend videos soon).
There comes a time to just pick and choose ....

Gerrit Hi Kimberly and Gerrit, I also have most of the recent stuff on tape or DVD and I agree wholeheartedly with you Gerrit, time is the enemy at present, with so much captured material coming all at once. But we are lucky that "our" girls have been on TV such a lot recently! If only this had happened (for Hayley) nearer to when Odyssey was released, her UK album sales would I think have been at least double what they are now (approaching 100,000). It is good news for the future though as it all helps to raise her profile ahead of the Il Divo tour, for the Odyssey UK special edition and in the medium and long term. January will be a lot quieter of course and I intend to catch up with everything then! Dave
