Thanks for finding those guys. I'm kind of annoyed that they keep reusing the Treasure photoshoots, I mean surely, isn't it time for new photos? Or is it purely for 'new' international releases??

Hello everyone I think HMV Japan may be about to update their info on this album. For some time now they have had a photo of Hayley subtitled "Cover coming soon". This is currently being replaced by "image not available". Best wishes Grant

Thank you Libby for finding it. I even did not notice it although I live in Japan. Universal Music Japan is now explaining the CD some more in addition to the explanation written by HMV Japan before. They say, “No.1” and I think I'd better to translate it for those who are interested in.
Below is the translation by my limited English skill and I hope Universal Music Japan does not complain me. ---------------------------- Discography The cover of Japanese songs 2 by Hayley in English! updated 19.2.09 Special edition of SHM-CD with DVD and CD (Regular version). Both on sale starting March 11th.
The cover of Japanese songs 1 by Hayley entitled "純~21歳の出会い" (English meaning "Pure ~ An encounter at age of 21") achieved the biggest hit No.1 of the Classic Charts Japan 2008 by her outstanding beautiful singing voice. Her pure voice and her gentle style of singing formed a special music world emphasizing the beautifulness of Japanese melody of J-Pops. ---------------------------- After these are almost the same as HMV Japan's explanation starting, "The second cover album of Japanese songs by Hayley is themed "Mother" ------.
Hope this helps. Best wishes. Maya

Hello Maya and thank you for your translations.
Is there any indication from the Japanese text as to why there appears to be two diffent versions of the cover as HSJS1 had the same picture for both versions.
Best wishes Grant

As far as I read the text, nothing is written about the pictures. I will be keeping my eyes on it. Best wishes. Maya

I'll probably order my copy of HSJS2 from CD Japan tonight. I do hope the DVD will play for me. I also see that they also have the Japanese releases of The Cottars' first two albums Joe

Maybe the deluxe version comes with a slipcase cover with the different photo?

I think it's too bad they couldn't take any new photos especially for this album, but the photos are slightly different from the ones actually used in Treasure. I would never have seen them if it weren't for the Japanese albums and River of Dreams.
I actually like the pink color they used. The blue seems to make her face look extra pale.
Maya, are you going to any of Hayley's upcoming concerts in Japan?

Maya, are you going to any of Hayley's upcoming concerts in Japan? Hi Libby. I wish I could visit her concert. I ordered the ticket but my important guests from USA are vising me in March and in April and I am having a hard time adjusting my schedule. In April, I am also invited to a special event which will be held in Yokohama Japan by a photographer who lives in New Zealand and who used to take Hayley's photos there. I wish I could attend that too but my busy schedule does not allow me to do everything. The event in Yokohama is an exhibition of his photos and it has nothing to do with Hayley but the photographer is one of Hayley's friends. I can not say his name here without his permission but his name is listed in the label of CD “Pure” and his photo is used in Hayley's book “In Her Own Voice”. At least I can do without worrying about my schedule is to buy her new CD HSJS2. I am counting on the day to come soon and I can enjoy her new songs on the way to my office driving my car. My commuting time is just 10 to 15 minutes depending on the traffic but it is the most precious time I can hear Hayley's songs without any interrupt. I am aged but I think I am still a busy typical Japanese person. HSJS2 should have used new photos. Universal Music Japan should ask that photographer to take Hayley's photos during her stay in Japan and they use the photos for HSJS3 or other new CDs. He is such a great and skilled photographer as you can find in Hayley's book right before page 91. He is picking up how The Westenras are well united and very happy. Best regards. Maya

We ordered our copy just 2 days ago, together with the Wiegenlied single.
It's a pity the record company did not take a new photoshoot from Hayley. It seems as if they are saving money in her promotion, as a Photoshop sessios is much cheaper than a real photoshoot.
Anyway, wat's important is the music, and we are very enthusiastic about having new Hayley's song on their way.
Am I wrong if I say that Hayley's look in that photo is quite kawaii? (cute in Japanese, more or less)

Does anybody know if Track 10, "Flower" is the same song that is on HSJS1, sometimes called "Blooming Flower"? Or is it completely different?
